It's a fantastic cerebral challenge, simply put, and the story and high presentation values merely add to the full ensemble of greatness.
  2. Aug 31, 2012
While most people will never see it through to the end, those who persevere with The Curse are in for one of the most difficult puzzling experiences going.

The Curse is a great game, but again, it's out to taunt and torment you into spending your money to be able to lock The Mannequin away once again. It's just a darn shame we kind of want him to stick around, which seems to work against the entire premise.

Like Professor Layton, this is a game with a plot loosely based around solving puzzles. While having a charm of its own, it's missing the sense of adventure and exploration of its inspiration.

It's just too bad it suffers for design decisions that have nothing to do with the puzzles themselves.
  6. Sep 27, 2012
A smart yet challenging little puzzle game with a cozy atmosphere. Some puzzles are reused though, and the story is not much to brag about.

Though The Curse doesn't bring much new to the world of puzzle games, it is a substantial collection that will keep players scratching their heads for a long time to come.
