A good option for any Sims fan who wants to put a little sparkle in their digital friends' lives.

In conclusion, The Sims Medieval is definitely one for the fans but even those who have never played this franchise before will get a kick out of it. It may not be the same as the PC version but its developers have managed to squash as much of the gameplay and graphics into the iPhone/iPod touch.

A good porting of an already funny experience, despite some framerate issues.

Fans of the Sims will find this shift of play from modern times to medieval an interesting one, and it serves as an easy introduction into some aspects of the RPG genre to boot.

It's what you'd expect from The Sims and not too much more. [Christmas 2011, p.93]

The Sims Medieval is a good Sims game, but it doesn't bring much new to the series.

It's a tiny, handheld version of a game that's already a bit scaled big from its originals. Still, it's one of the first truly different experiences of the Sims in a while and although it's a more directed experience, it offers enough new to keep casual players happy.

The Sims Medieval is far less open-ended than its predecessor.
