Tiki Towers 2 is the full package for the physics puzzle fan. It's charming to look at and offers an enjoyable challenge while mixing it up every now and then to ensure that the game always feels fresh. Sure it might be liberally borrowing some World of Goo elements but it's borrowing from one of the greats which is no bad thing at all.
The game's playability really suffers on the smaller screen of the iPhone, with your big fat sausage fingers liable to make it damned near impossible to see where you're laying each component. On the iPad, such niggles don't apply, and fortunately publisher RealNetworks has seen fit to make this a unified binary.
Fans of the original will be delighted to have more Tiki Towers at their disposal, but at the same time, there's not enough new here to really wow anyone.
Tiki Towers 2 isn't just more of the same if you loved the original, though it's hard to forgive some of the control quirks and random elements that make this more frustrating than intended.
Working around the controls is a hard feat although once you have completed all the levels that it has to offer, you do get used to them. That is if you can avoid throwing your iPhone across the room prior to the half way point!
Even if you've mastered bamboo tower building, Tiki Towers 2 will drive you bananas.
