The simple gameplay in Tiny Wings is sublime, but there's an intangible aspect to it that makes it a total joy to play.
  2. Feb 28, 2011
This impressive "one-button" App Store entry is simple by design, but deep and engaging enough to make it more than worth its $0.99 price point.
  3. Feb 27, 2011
It just goes to show that sometimes, it's the simplest of concepts that make a hit.
  4. Feb 27, 2011
Brilliant in its simplicity, originality, and ability to keep you coming back again and again.
  5. Feb 23, 2011
Minimalistic games like Tiny Wings will never truly replace more substantial titles, but its polished gameplay and presentation make it a hard game to ignore.
  6. Mar 13, 2011
These pseudo-achievements steer players toward new ways to play the game, diabolically transforming what seems like a pretty little distraction into an obsession.
  7. May 23, 2011
This is truly a must-have game for the iPhone.
  8. Mar 10, 2011
Incredibly fun and imaginatively simple. Get this.

It taps into the brain, and pours in happiness straight into the otherwise grey and dull cortex. A truly un-missable budget title!

Playing Tiny Wings, one just gets a feeling that this is a game that could be absolutely huge – from the ingenious unique gameplay to the charming protagonist and stunning visual style, all the elements for a smash hit are here.

    A soaring success. [June 2011, p.87]

Cheerful, charismatic and mesmerizing, Tiny Wings is really fun to look at and play with: it perfectly fits for quick plays but it requires some practice to master jumps and slides. Visually it's simply beautiful, with procedurally generated islands and wonderful sound effects. Tiny Wings is a little, colourful and unpretentious game, but like many other tiny iPhone games it can touch the heart of the player.

A perfect example of smart and simple touch controls. A great gaming experiences.

If you love casual fast paced games with a cute factor Tiny Wings is a must have. The action flows quite smoothly, and the graphics are amazing and change dynamically as day turns to night.

Tiny Wings is a charming, compelling and addictive sidescroller about a bird who needs help to fly due to his small wings. By pressing the screen at the right time and thus giving the bird speed, the game gives you a distinct feel of flow very rarely seen in mobile games.

It's one of the best games released this year.
  17. Mar 17, 2011

Thanks to charming presentation, tight rhythmic gameplay, and keen replayability, Tiny Wings is well worth flapping onto the App Store for.
  21. Feb 25, 2011
A great little play. If it clicks with you, you'll be as hooked as the gamers that have already sent it rocketing up the App Store charts.
  22. Feb 27, 2011
Tiny Wings is a good game. But it's extremely raw when it comes to options such as being able to listen to your own music, and it also left out GameCenter on its initial launch. The gameplay is addictive, though, and the artwork isn't too shabby.

It's no Angry Birds - because it's not trying to be. Instead, it's a cheerful and attractive twist on an always-popular gameplay mechanic that's already a deserved hit with casual gaming fans. It's more Placid Bird Suffused With A Sense Of Innocent Child-Like Wonder.
  24. Feb 28, 2011
Tiny Wings is hideously addictive, supremely cute, and at 59 pence you'll play it for hours and never really know why. Such is the way atop the cloud-hidden peak of the App Store.

To glide from sunup to sundown. Here's the simple, but attractive pitch of Tiny Wings, rising star of the App Store who kicked off Angry Birds from the number one slot of the charts. Its principle is ridiculously simple: press the screen, and your bird will gain momentum. As soon as you let go, it glides. But you'll have to time your presses well with the random hills of the backgrounds in order to go as fast and as far as you can, and to score as much points as possible. But even though those hills are never the same thanks to their randomized generation, it's still becoming repetitive sooner or later; which is the main shortcoming of the game. With some added features, play modes and ideas, it could have been far more magical.

This must be one of the best games so far this year. Who can watch the trailer and not have a bleeding heart for that cute little bird.

so simple to play yet hard to master and the graphics are just awesome. Full Review »

The reason why I love this game so much is because of its graphics and sounds. The constantly changing landscape removes the whole bored-after-four-days issue, while the clumsy sounds and overall image of the bird give this game its innocence. A real stretch from the norm of iOS games today, Tiny Wings is a slow and relaxing, yet competitive game that can be seen as the gift that keeps on giving. Full Review »

Terrific way to pass the time. It's hard, yet casual at the same time. Trying to beat all the achievements is actually fun! I'd love to see multiplayer in a future update. Full Review »
