  • Summary: Storm of Vengeance tells the story of a pivotal moment in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, during the legendary planetary conflict on Piscina IV. Featuring two of Games Workshop's most cherished characters, Grand Master Belial and Ork Warlord Ghazghkull Thraka, Storm of Vengeance offers the player the chance to command the tenacious defence of the planet with only 100 Dark Angel Space Marines, or attempt it’s annihilation using the cunning of the Ork Waaagh! and their telly-porta technology. Warhammer 40K: Storm of Vengeance makes fair use of its licence to add some texture to what is a somewhat predictable and repetitive tower defence combat.

Warhammer 40K: Storm of Vengeance is a completely serviceable title, and if it was a free-to-play experience with the DLCs serving as one of its premium packages, then I’d totally be on board with this app.

Briefly enjoyable but ultimately a waste of a good license, Storm of Vengeance is a fairly typical lane defense game.

Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance is a decent start to a strategy game, but it is in desperate need of unit variety to force players into thinking up new ways to approach each encounter.

A disappointingly limited lane-defence game that offers little of the strategic depth fans of the source material would be hoping for, and nothing outstandingly fresh for the rest.
