Wordament is a fresh take on a classic formula that works brilliantly. It's my prediction for this year's next big thing.

Wordament is so well-built that pointing out faults feels like nitpicking. You do need to be online to play, and more annoyingly, you're sometimes thrust into a match with a minute left on the clock, which pretty much dooms you to a low score. A lobby option would be a nice addition, but as it stands, Wordament is one of the App Store's must-have word games.

Wordament is yet another Boggle clone, with a cross-platform leaderboard and ten Achievements to unlock.

Challenging, competitive word-searching make Wordament a game worth playing whether you're padding your Live stats or not.

An OK attempt at a free game with mass appeal. The only reason to play this is for achievements. Rounds with themed words and other objectives which give a higher score make this passable. As a concept, the game is simple to pick and play, and it works well. However, it does rely a lot on how well you know the dictionary, and it's kinda boring yet addicting. It's original and easy to get started, but lacks in excitement or lasting appeal. The main problem with this game is that it's easy to cheat via a puzzle solver. It's very easy for even a novice programmer to be able to create software which will give the highest-scoring words to the user. If Microsoft somehow manage to get round this issue, it could be a great casual game. Full Review »
