  1. You want gamers to really hate your game? Here's how to do it. Make the gameplay repetitive and uninteresting, then let them complete 99% of a level only to have the character die inexplicably and restart the level all over again. Body Harvest fits the preceding bill to a "T". This game has neither the innovation, the depth, nor a halfway interesting story to keep you playing for any extended period of time.

Great b-movie atmosphere which the graphics suit. Love the atmospheric music, sparse yet effective, it creates a somber mood rather than an action one. The 3D landscape , target system and ability to commandeer vehicles were was ahead if it's time. Its easy to see how it paved the way for GTA3 on the PS2 three years later.
Note: Body Harvest was developed by DMA Design who changed their name to Rockstar North in 2001.

I played this game so much as a child, it kept me entertained for many hours. To be serious, the game hasn't aged as well as some other games. The games difficulty is surprisingly high (considering I had to use cheats to beat the game). While it's not cheap difficulty, it still puts it down to a 9. Even with that, this is one of the best games of all time. Full Review »
