I'd rather be out mixing cement than having to deal with this control scheme.
  2. Once you give it a closer look, Hey You, Pikachu! is a highly addictive game that both children and adults can enjoy.
  3. I had a difficult time even playing this game for more than half an hour. It's simply so boring and mundane that I can't see anyone over the age of 10 enjoying this game.
  4. If there were some kind of branch progression throughout the game that allows you to train your Pikachu instead of just playing peek-a-boo with it, this game might have been a little more tolerable.
  5. The game where yelling at the television is actually productive. [Jan 2004, p.189]
  6. After forcing myself to play it through, I must admit the game has some positive qualities -- just not enough to endear it to anyone over the age of 9.
  7. After forcing myself to play it through, I must admit the game has some positive qualities -- just not enough to endear it to anyone over the age of 9.
  8. This is a novelty. Granted, for all it's limitations, the technology does work, but this really is something for the little ones.
  9. Even if you dig Pikachu's act, the "game" is ultimately a spirit-crushing, mind-numbing exercise in tedium.
  10. Unlike "Seaman," this game's voice recognition is pretty primitive.
  11. Hey You, Pikachu is bright and saccharine, the videogame equivalent of a "Brady Bunch" marathon with a pre-sugared cereal chaser.
  12. Hinging on a technological gimmick and the Pokémon license, the game falls well short of the standard set by previous Pokémon titles.
  13. But if you're looking for more than a distraction for the kids, a learning tool perfectly disguised as a game, then consider Nintendo's Hey You, Pikachu!.

It is a great idea, and they should make a new version of it with better technology, but dont pick up this old n64 title.
