  • Summary: Prepare to enter into the most demanding and dangerous Mission Impossible ever. Your mission, should you decide to accept it, will be to guide your team through a spectacular series of authorized worldwide missions encompassing over 20 levels of gameplay. Razor-sharp reflexes, the ability to make quick decisions, strategic thinking and an extremely high level of accuracy will prove essential. As always, should you, or any member of IM Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. As usual, Ethan Hunt will be your point man. This game will not self-destruct in five seconds, but you may... Collapse

  1. Many have complained about Mission: Impossible's trial-and-error gameplay. Is it me, or do those same people seem to have forgotten that "GoldenEye 007" had the same type gameplay, especially on its higher levels of difficulty?
  2. Sorry to disappoint, but Ethan Hunt doesn't belong to the same clubs as Bond, get the same beautiful babes, use better gadgets, or even wear as nice clothes, and he sure doesn't have as great a game...not even close.
  3. An excellent attempt for Infogrames and I can't wait to see what they will come up with for the sequel.
  4. Mission: Impossible is a very inconsistent game - some levels are great, and some just aren't any fun at all. But overall, most of the game is challenging and fun.
  5. I enjoyed the story elements of the game immensely. The communication between the characters in Mission: Impossible is mature and completely in tune with the feel of the series and film. Unfortunately, the bulk of the gameplay in the adventure is not up to the quality of the atmosphere that is created for us.
  6. If you can look past graphics that came out of the Stone Age, if you can look past terrible sound effects (when guards get shot they grunt like… uh never mind), if you can look past a main character that doesn't look anything like Tom Cruise, if you can look past some ridiculous puzzles in places, you'll find Mission: Impossible, if you choose to accept it, really isn't that bad.
  7. I SERIOUSLY hope that all you wonderful people out there work hard and want to produce competitive, innovative, and fun-to-play-itiive stuff one day. Not run-o'-the-mill, sloppy, choppy, moppy ol’ mediocre pooey. And hopefully not stuff like Mission: Impossible.

I think this game was incredibly fun when I played it. Maybe I was too young to noticed all the flaws the reviews seem to focus on. The point of games is to have fun. I had a blast with this game. Expand

Mission Impossible had a number of good ideas and concepts taken from the movie but could never quite figure out how to implement them. Some missions are very good fun others simply aren't. Expand

I grew up on this game because my parents were too cheap to buy me games every once in a while. Thus, I fully remember every crappy aspect of this game. The only cool part was the bounty of programming errors and glitches that really made things interesting. Expand
