  1. Everything a Wipeout fan could expect and though lacking any massive improvement in the single player mode, the game easily beats out F-Zero X as the best futuristic racer on the 64.
  2. WipeOut 64 isn't horrible, it just feels like the developer's first effort for the system at times - which it is. The one- and two-player modes are worth exploring, but the game will still likely be disappointing for hard-core fans of the series who expected more improvements after the two-year wait.
