Stiff and smooth animations just make it comical at times. A moment of screen stutter also occurs when the game auto-saves at times, highly annoying but I was able to largely get used to it. All these issues aside, I was still having a blast playing this, and I can see myself stepping into the world of 7 Days to Die on and off at times.
There's a hint of a good game in 7 Days to Die's mix of zombie attack preparedness and crafting and cooperative stands against zombies, and it has valuable ideas to contribute to the genre. In fact, you can almost hear them screaming to escape from beneath terrible graphics, barely useable menu controls, and shoddy console optimization.
Okay, Don't listen to the so called "critics"
As a person who has nearly 1000 hours on this game, I can most 100% say that this is gods gift to earth that people don't understand, I couldn't care less if the game is still in alpha. Now let me explain why this game is so good.
7 days to die is a survival horror game, we know this, I hope. This is the best survival based game I have played, the amount of stuff you can do in this game is incredible, Every 7th day there will be a blood moon that you have to defend, You can select 5 attributes to help you out, Perception with explosives, rifles, and spears, Strength with clubs, shotguns, and sledgehammers, Agility with knifes, bows, pistols and magnums, Fortitude with fists, and machine guns, and Intelligence with batons, and turrets. You can find a place to live, make farms, create traps, extend your base, do other things as well. Not even mentioning the biomes, Wastelands, Snow, Desert, Burnt Forest, and Pine Forest, these biomes have each of there own zombies and enemies, most dangerous being the Wastelands. But all of this is besides the point, reader, you should get this game, do not listen to the people writing the comments, just because the game is unfinished, does NOT mean that it is a bad game, the amount of potential I've seen in a game is extraordinary. Sadly there is one thing wrong with this game, the developers, The Fun Pimps, simply do not care enough for this game. The one thing I attempt to do is just pray to god that they make it the full game.
Overall one of the best games that I've played in my life, there is so much to do in this game, with endless replay ability, play with friends, change the difficulty to your liking, interact with certain traders with certain items that they sell, construct a fort to fend against the blood moon, and so much other things. You should buy this game, if you have any spare change for it. Thank you for reading.
7 Days to Die had the potential to be something impressive but with frequent glitches and game freezes it falls well short of being the game it could so easily be.
7 Days to Die tries hard to provide the same experience we had on PC, but it fails in its attempt due to the controller adaptation and the visible graphical downgrade.
It's a shame that a game with so many good ideas has been rushed onto consoles. At the moment is a technical mess, and it's a shame because we know it was meant to be a long-time project and many users won't give it a second chance. So far, we would recommend you to wait.
7 Days to Die is awful. I’d imagine this is how the PC release initially played back in 2013 as part of Steam Early Access; I’m utterly confused as to why there’s no polish at all on this new console release. There’s no excuse for such a flimsy mess, and I’m quite surprised Telltale Games would permit its name to be associated with such tripe. Avoid the game at all costs.
Although the visuals are indeed terrible, they are the least of this game’s problems. I was wrong to be optimistic; I’ve played plenty of dreadful games on Xbox One, but this is one of the worst ones yet.
Pros:
- Fun with friends. Building a base inside a town and clearing it of infected is a fun little adventure to be had with a group of friends.
- There are plenty of different items and skills which can change your playstyle depending. For example you can use light armour and a bow and upgrade sneaking skills to be harder to detect and faster.
- The random generation of maps can be fun as it adds a bit of variance to the game.
Cons:
- The graphics are fairly bad. I normally don't focus too much on a game's graphics but 7 Day's graphics are noticeably poor.
- There is no endgame. The only thing to do is continuously complete quests and fight the 7 day horde. Other than that you begin to realise that there's nothing tied to the end game and it feels shallow.
- The achievements are insanely buggy. Most of the tracked ones just don't track progress or unlock.
- Melee combat becomes fairly stale. The gist is to back step to avoid a swing and then use the cooldown period to attack. There's not much more to it than that.
This game had ALOT of potential but unfortunately I would say it is very unfinished. The survival part of the game is not very good as it is almost impossible to craft good weapons or items as all you find are empty cans or paper. The amount of items built into this game is enormous, like 40 times what minecraft has but honestly most of it is not useful.
Now the creative part which is more fun is filled with glitches that probably won't be fixed for a long time and is not as easy to play as you think. If you were attacked and killed while building in creative(which happens alot), you often spawn 10 minutes away from where you were, which is very frustrating to play.
The graphics are a bust if you care about it.

SummaryBuilding on survivalist and horror themes, players in 7 Days to Die can scavenge the abandoned cities of the buildable and destructable voxel world for supplies or explore the wilderness to gather raw materials to build their own tools, weapons, traps, fortifications and shelters.
