  1. Makes me wish more games featured adult-themed language and situations, because in this case, they actually add to the gritty feel and setting we've been delivered. [Dec 2003, p.107]
  2. The graphics are beautiful and along with the sound effects and musical score really immerse you in the game.
  3. What with graphics that are no longer state-of-the-art, no multiplayer component, a less-than-totally compelling story, and combat that is sometimes frustrating, there is a lot missing here.
  4. The action is still highly distinctive fun, though, and for those in search of a challenge, Aquanox 2 definitely comes through. [Jan 2004, p.85]

Unless you were a diehard fan of the original, I'd say give this one a pass.

A beautiful game. Much like its predecessor, AquaNox 2 sets a new high water mark (heh, heh) in graphics. High end PC gamers are in for a real treat. It doesn't hurt that the game plays well too. Yet the single player campaign just isn't all that long.
  7. A lobotomized first-person shooter. Invisible walls and glass ceilings abound throughout the briny deep, ensnaring players in a boring series of follow-the-leader and circle-strafing style stages. [Dec 2003, p.144]

Same graphics, same guns, same submarines. But in this sequel is everything even bigger. Sadly it's doing that game boring. Story is so predictable and so unnecessarily long. Full of strange characters with one main who successfully supplementing all stupid conversations. At least there are still some good fights. 61/100 Expand
