  1. Not only does it give high-level characters new playgrounds, but it's also a second shot at life for AC 2. [Sept 2005, p.63]
  2. AC2 Legions is about average for the genre, but the interface is a bit clunky is places, especially when compared to the recent heavy hitters like "World of Warcraft" and "EverQuest II."
  3. A mixed bag. It certainly adds plenty for loyal players, but I think it fails to do much to bring in new faces or draw former players back into the fold.

Hmm id definitely say the game has improved a lot, I used to play back on release and i will definitely say this game has really changed. Its taken me a while to get back into the hang of things, but i would definatly challenge everyone to come back and give it a shot, i was thinking the same thing, this game had no hope, but im really likeing what has gone on in the passed 2 years. Asherons Call 2(AC2) is one of the most underrated games right now in my opinion. I have played the game for almost 3 years and have witnessed how many of todays great MMORPG’s made an impact on our population, but every time most people came back to AC2 after a month or so. AC2 does not have a huge margeting campaign or is not carried by hype. Right now the game has so much content I don’t even dare to start venturing out into some of the newer areas. Why do I love AC2 and what keeps me there? 1. I have never experienced a game with such an amazing population. The general tone is polite and lots of people seem eager to help the newbies. 2. Nothing you ever do in the game will have a permanent effect. You can always untrain again. You don’t have to lvlup every type of character in the game. You can just lvl one and then remake him/her into something else later on. (Does not work across the 5 races) 3. The crafting system is huuuuge. IT will keep you bussy for years 4. The new hero system has more skills to choose from than any man should have to choose between. Lots of options to make unique characters. 5. There are so many quests to choose from! 6. The game has a great lore/history, which gives you a good feeling of being there/having an impact on the world. 7. Very impressive graphics and the game never loads new zones. You can basically run/swim from one end to the other. IF you have the time for it :) I could go on and on. My advice. Give the game a try. You won’t regret it!
