I see absolutely no point to this game. If you're playing Athens for an enjoyable gameplay experience, prepare to absorb a sack of bricks to the wrists.
  2. Absolutely average in every way. More events and more personality would really help this game, as well as more variety during events, but this is just a good way to experience the heart-pounding thrill of oncoming carpal tunnel syndrome.

Nice try, Eurocom, but let's face it: the track and field genre of videogames is still dead. Honestly, developers should just give up on making them.
  4. You're left with Commodore-era finger bruises and PS2-quality graphics, and you don't even get the full complement of Olympic sports. Rubbish. [Christmas 2004, p.122]
  5. A lousy port of a console game of middling quality. The timing of its release is almost more of a liability than its technical aptitude, making Athens 2004 for the PC almost wholly irrelevant.

Despite all the bad reviews, I think this game is great. It's very fun to play, specially because you need to develop coordination skills and you must to concentrate to win. Full Review »

In as much as play is fluid. It lacks in the personalisations department. I would have love to know that I could create a star or whether or not a world record has been broken by me. (In the personal stats page) Full Review »
