The heart of Atlantis Quest has the addictive gameplay, but the difficulty of later levels make this much more than a time waster.
It is deceptively simple to play, yet engrossing enough to make you think about it in your sleep. I seriously will not play the game within a few hours of bedtime.
Its graphics wouldn’t have been "awe-inspiring" 15 years ago let alone now.
Burdened with dreary, murky visuals, this Atlantis is better left sunken. [Nov. 2006, p.120]
The mythological trappings are nicely done, making it feel more like an adventure than a typical slog through the levels. [Feb. 2007, p.74]
While Atlantis Quest is not the most innovative or fun puzzle game out there, it does a decent job as a game designed to pass the time and keep you occupied for a little while.
To be blunt, Atlantis Quest is just too hard, and after a few levels, the entertainment gives way to frustration.
