More Baldur's Gate, with a new town, a huge dungeon (Durlag's Tower) and two smaller adventures. Extra character levels, more items, and some interesting and challenging encounters. A good addon to one of the best 2D Dungeons and Dragons RPGs ever made.

Good expansion which although very playable, didn't hold a candle to the game that spawned it. Mind you, there were no candles nor hands to hold them to anything when it came to BG1 and 1998/99. Two of the three new areas were quite uninspiring as were most of the new items and there are no new joinable NPCs. Durlag's Tower saves this expansion. It is large, dangerous, tough, very atmospheric and the story behind it is extremely well told although the boss at the bottom was very very overhyped. The final boss fight was excellent but the overall quality of the voice acting took a large hit when compared to the original. Still, I'd rather play with the expansion than without it and it's a must buy for any BG fan.…Full Review »
