  1. For $25, the value proposition of this time-sink is impressive if you consider yourself more managerial material than on-field talent. [Sept 2008, p.67]
  2. Those of you turned off by MLB Front Office Manager should try this game out to see what a proper management sim is like. I still find a game like Out of the Park provides a bit more depth than this game, but for the price ($20), you sure do get every penny out of Baseball Mogul.
  3. A number of small improvements make Baseball Mogul 2009 only a minor evolution over its predecessor.

This year's batch of features were more of a half-hearted attempt to provide an improved experience to the single-player user, but outside of updated rosters and the new startup and depth chart screens, there's not much in this version representing a significant improvement over Baseball Mogul 2008.
  5. Baseball Mogul 2009 is not for everyone. Baseball fans should be warned that this is the sports equivalent of Dungeons and Dragons.

Overall, it's decent. I got a good amount of play out of it, until I found a superior product. If you are a huge baseball fan and enjoy managing a team, it's worth getting, be warned though, there are superior products out there, I would recommend weighing all your options first. Full Review »
