When DICE buffs up the formidable war machine that is Battlefield Bad Company 2, their star multiplayer franchise, they use every last bit of cultural and movie folklore surrounding this cruel and well-covered conflict. Polished to the extreme, Vietnam enhances all the more the fun it gives us, and those typical moments of bravery.

A lot of the usual equipment is missing, which doesn't matter too much because of the great atmosphere. But in the long run after getting all the gold medals, we'll go back to the main game.

Yes, different. Not better, not worse, but different.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 - Vietnam transports players to a whole new setting and delivers the same large scale, intense action fans expect, but yet expands the experience by emphasizing team play and skill to make it a truly worthy add-on.

  1. This DLC shouldn't be considered an add-on, it should be considered a whole new game. Vietnam takes the team-work based fun from the standard game and fuses it with its all new atmosphere. The DLC looks quite amazing and the world and first person models look fantastic. Along with this DLC you get a number of new maps. Along these new features includes commentary taken from real life news broad casters and soldiers. Over all, this add-on is basically having a sort of sequel to the original Battle Field; Vietnam, but with updated sounds, tracks, voices, and most of all, looks. i highly recommend buying this. 2. Big improvement in a lot of aspects of BFBC2. Assault Rifles now have better range to balance snipers, + the maps are better designed so Wookies can't just sit up on a hill and pick people off. Worthless non-contributing wookies are doing their best to ruin BFBC2 vanilla.
-Loses a point for lack of maps... and one is really small nade fest. But if you were score this off of the 3 maps, it would be 10/10. Ok buy for $10. Wish more people played it compared to vanilla, but thats the case with any DLC. A lot of people just don't bother.

Out of the blood filled muddy jungles of Vietnam comes BFBC2Vietnam with in all its glory. Even if that glory is overpowered weaponry, no destructible buildings and enough weapon choices to fill up a Mini Cooper's trunk half way. The maps are unbalanced and the M40 seems to be a developed version of the Golden Gun.

It does have its good points however such as rich environments and better hit reg (a major down fall in BFBC2). But beware of boats shooting you from underneath the map as it is now a well known glitch.

  4. Compared to BFBC2... it's a pile of **** Four(4!) maps, few vehicles and american soldiers with AK-47s... yeah... Worst thing is that maps are grenadefests (only one, a village map is very good). They don't make use of destruction mechanism at all, and Vietnam is just utterly boring. Can't recommend, sorry DICE, next time try harder.

Also, instead of retarded future conflict in BC2, you should have made a single player about vietnam. That'd be awesome. But no, you have to compete with Call of Duty. meh.
