A very bad game. The only strategy in it is on the campaign map - and the action is no better. You cant play as infantry - and overall a very disappointing game- i thought it was going to be an exciting RTS and it turned out as a slow, boring, and uneventful battle full of boring ships and planes and no men whatsoever.

its cool ,more than just a first person shooter, you have to use your head, i like to use a joy stick and an N52 TE, once your set up it will keep you on the edge of your seat for hours much better than the recent cod crap ,but then again so is css and thats 8 years old now.

Graphics are a 10, including Motion Blur, Depth of Field, Physics, Weather, it all looks good. Single Player story is great, challenging, works well. The only thing I do not like the Multiplayer interface. Trying to find a server list is much like using a console, you can't see games in progress and when your match is over you are returned to multiplayer main menu, not the lobby of the game you just completed. So you have to find your friends all over again. Very annoying. Expand

It is a very great game, where you must use tatics, and targeting skills. 1 mistake can prove fatal in this game it is a very fun game, and best online. For me and most people Island Capture is the best game mode. You have choices to tons of units from air to sea, and to land which are only bases and such. I would say this is a very very great game.

While some people complain about lack of infantry, they need to realize that this is not about the individual soldiers, it's about the Planes and ship combat. However, it does still feel like too many pots boiling over, as gameinformer said about midway.

I enjoyed the first game so no real suprises that im enjoying the second. It builds on some of the previous games weaknesses and introduces some excellent multiplayer/coop features. My only complaint is that i feel this could have been done as an update/expansion rather than a fully fledged standalone, and also finding someone in your friends list to play online - as its quite a niche market which not alot people have time for. This game is Epic in anture and holds up to the promise of all out Naval Battles. The Campaigns are worht the price of admissions, as you unfold History or make a new path within it. Graphics and detail shine in this version. From the waves on the sea to the fluffy clouds in the sky. One point taken away for a few common bugs in the game which will hopefully be fixed soon. And another point off for Multiplayer. Not the gameplay, it is fantastic! Island Capture is all you will need when going up against 7 others. The Point deduct is for the clumsy Join Lobbies. This "new" type Multiplay needs to just be left as CS or Call Of Duty does it. Listed as all.. basic but all there. No Dedicated server mode with a continued map running and Join while playing feature. Plus, the community online seems very sparse. Not to many playing this at the moment, which means none in the future. Expand

  1. All in all it's an arcade-action game with a rather small and rudimentary RTS part best played with a game pad. Best thing to do is to go for the demo before grabbing the title from the store!
  2. Pacific is very much the son of its forebear. If you're prepared to push through its choppier moments, you'll find a rich and highly enjoyable game that should keep you occupied for months.
  3. Battlestations Pacific looks nice, but that doesn't help if the rest of the game is just plain boring. Every mission plays like the last one, there's no rise in difficulty and no real connection between the missions. After playing the game for a few hours you'll ask yourself "What's the point?"
