  1. Overall feel and flavor for the ground war is masterful... Blitzkrieg is a rare gem, a Real Time Strategy that works on all fronts.
  2. Can be a tough mountain to master due to the sheer amount of detail that was placed into it if you aren’t a patient person, but it’s really enjoyable even while learning and is especially fun once you get the hang of it.

It still lacks the tactical focus and strange mix of contemplative planning and haphazard action that makes the "Combat Mission" series so compelling, but as a real-time game ..., it has a more direct sense of momentum and action.
  4. Experiencing Blitzkrieg was a challenge and it was fun in almost every aspect. Skirmishes, single missions, and the campaigns are all well-balanced and lengthy, so you can be sure they will take up a lot of your time.
  5. For those who do enjoy it, the multiplayer capabilities and random map generation provide literally endless replay value. The bottom line is that this is not a universal title, but the target group will be quite satisfied with the result.

The amount of units the game offers is simply amazing, and with every unit demanding a different approach you're in for a long learning time. The learning curve of this game is very steep, there are a lot of things you need to master to full take advantage of your army. The single player of this game is very realistic which actually makes it kind of boring since you're going to spend most of the time waiting for the artillery to do the job, you don't want to lose your units after all. What you really want to pick this game up for is the multiplayer, with 100's of customized maps this multiplayer will keep you busy for a couple of months/years. Granted, it may take you a few weeks before you actually win you're first game.

The game doesn't make use of building bases and resource gathering but you do have supply trucks + mining and demining vehicles, that can really make the difference in winning or losing a game. You can pretty much have an infinite amount of units. Don't buy this game for the graphics, buy it for the gameplay.
