Nov 14, 2013Spearheading example of a game that is VERY clearly ported. And I'm not talking about the vibration controls toggle settings (The game not having any known sex toys attachments yet) but the seemingly delayed and chopping feeling of the game-play as you progress. Even though It boasts a very steady 60+ locked fps on my machine, the way everything flows can have an understatement of being called plastic, be it the camera or the character movements, they just don't seem to fit the framerate that the game is set to.
Blood Knights also got some pretty big issues with controls as you steer with arrow keys. Repeatedly missing your heavy frontal leap attacks due to the character turning 10 degrees too much does not help to deliver a satisfying hack-and-slash experience. Especially when said experience becomes repetitive with two characters within 10 minutes of me playing it.
The graphics are typical of console ports. Bad for PC standards and the voice acting is laughably bad. In the very tutorial stages, you'll be having a medieval, highly religious/magical old priest start splurting out lines like "A bad feeling should be the damn least you'll have, Son!" like an angry Texan.
But the biggest sin I've found here was the linearity. Every single camera turn/placement/positioning I saw was scripted and every NPC conversation you have are limited to 1-2 responses/retorts, often in a flaunting way in cheap attempts to give the characters some kind of personality which leaves me with the end verdict that this game is not worth anyone's breath. The plot is poorly explained with an atmosphere that is painfully difficult to absorb when combined with the repetitive and overall stale gameplay.
It may offer some satisfaction on consoles for which It was made for but It is abundantly clear that It has no place on the PC.… Full Review »
