    One perfectly formed, endlessly absorbing, regularly amusing word game. If you're looking for some brainial stimulation, find logic puzzles like Sudoku and Slitherlink a trifle soulless, and have a nasty 'untreatable' case of leprosy or beriberi, then I really can't recommend Bookworm Adventures enough.

    It's essentially Scrabble for the videogame generation, with mundane numerical scores replaced by hitpoints and flashy animated attacks, wrapped up in a cute and funny package. You'd have to be a serious logophobe not to love it.

    The game encourages you to dig deep into your vocabulary and create powerful attacks. It’s surprisingly engaging and when coupled with strategic elements such as Gem Tiles, and can also be quite challenging. To keep things fresh there are also a variety of mini-games on offer. A must for casual gamers.

    Though it does have some minor flaws, it is still a solid word game that is perfect for children who wants to improve their spelling skills. This is not for adults though.… Full Review »

    This game is not for everyone. Already from the title you should be able to tell it is a word game. If you don't enjoy things like scrabble then you won't enjoy this game. It's as simple as that. For those of you who do enjoy words, then this game is a hilarious and entertaining way to brush up on your English skills, but have it still feel like you're playing a real game.… Full Review »

    For anyone actually good at Scrabble, I cannot recommend this game enough. However, you should probably keep away if you cannot average 300 points at 2 player. It will frustrate you no end. While I found completing the game straightforward, my housemate at university could not finish book one. There are minor flaws in addition to the ones already mentioned; i.e. the inability to replay bosses after completion, except in arena mode with a timer.… Full Review »
