  1. Brian plays a mean, attractive and thoroughly satisfying game of cricket, perfect for those sunny Sunday afternoons. [May 2007, p.68]
  2. Which brings me to fielding, by far the worst aspect of Brian Lara and the sole reason that its score is down in the 70s rather than in the mid-80s. Fielding is totally inconsistent and spoils what is otherwise a fine sports sim - one that almost nails one of the hardest sports to simulate.

On one hand you have the really poor AI to play against in single player which swiftly offers little or no challenge. However, the on-line component has to be one of the most enjoyable games I've played in years (probably since BF1942 & Desert Combat) and really doesn't too bad a job of reflecting the actual sport. There are many little glitches but they are blemishes currently and will hopefully be swiftly sorted by a patch. Unfortunately I doubt the AI will receive the necessary improvements so if you're buying this game do so will the on-line facet at the for front of your mind. Full Review »
