  1. Easily one of the most engrossing shooters ever made. [Holiday 2008, p.70]
  2. An excellent and authentic single player experience, combining great game play based on squad leadership with compelling story telling.
  3. There are some technical problems and crash bugs that need ironed out (especially for ATI users, from the sound of it), and the feel and responsiveness of the controls could have been better. The AI is lacking, but those special slow-motion moments when you score a particularly nasty headshot or a grenade blows a guy into thirds are rewarding and add to the cinematic feel.

Plain and simple the PC version of the game really rocks. If you have the hardware you will find that the game looks fantastic. I really can't say enough about how good the character models look. Very realistic. The game was also longer than I expected which was nice. This game is a great improvement over previous BoH games and I really enjoyed it. This time around the FPS elements are improved and the squad AI is awesome in my opinion. Any low scores say to me either bad hardware was used or the person is just sick of WWII games. I highly recommend this game! Well done Gearbox! Expand

At the start of this game i was amazed.Excellent graphics with a story line that looked good(i wouldn't know as i haven't got the games before this).I liked the way you command your squad and all that. Its the actually shooting that is boring. All your doing is setting up your squads behind cover and then peeking up and shooting the Germans who are also behind cover and peeking up.I mean the least they could have done is added some music when your fighting. You cant just move up either, you get shot down.Take a look at call of duty. You don't command a squad but that doesn't mean its a ''brainless'' shooter. Either way it got boring for me after 15 hours, but don't let me stop you,if you want to waste your money,go right ahead. Expand

The squad gameplay definitely is something very exciting about this game. Also the player models look fantastic. But I have to say the landscape is horrible, i've not seen so many bitmaps put together since 1998. Im sorry but this is not what we want to see nowadays... Expand
