  1. Ultimately, CT just doesn't have a whole lot of staying power. [Mar 2002, p.88]
  2. Car Tycoon may appear to be a decent ride, but if you're looking for a really excellent management game, you should look elsewhere.

As if the lack of stats wasn't enough, trying to figure out exactly what everything that is in the game does is frustrating, and the flimsy manual offers little help...The game also lacks focus and rationale.
  5. This little number's a shiny new lemon. [May 2002, p.69]
  6. The combination of wretched design, brainless financial models, and buggy gameplay leaves you with the realization that you got suckered into buying a lemon. [May 2002, p.87]

Detroit is a better game with a more intelligent economic model. Detroit has more options for building cars and a much better research model. If you're thinking of buying this game--do yourself a favor--don't. Full Review »
