  1. This is the most addictive game I have played in years.
  2. It is far from an easy game to get into, but once embroiled in the seedy world of crime, the hours tend to drift by surprisingly quickly, and its longevity is assured as it is extremely difficult, even on the easiest of the four computer levels.
  3. There should be more games like this since it marries turn-based strategy and tough decisions into a seamless whole. This is good stuff and worth playing.
  4. Chaos Overlords is good for maybe a couple of days play, especially with the novelty of the whole 'gang war' thing, but after that's worn off, it gets boring fairly quickly. It's not as interesting or fun to play as "Syndicate" or "Civilization"; it's just too limited.
  5. At its best it can be a blast; how many times do you get to send the Fighting Nuns against the Press Corps in no-holds-barred combat in the streets? But the entire thing seems rather empty.
  6. A good idea executed without a trace of wit, energy, or style. About as dull as dishwater. [Sept 1996, p.138]

Given the year created (1996), it's actually an excellent strategy game. Equipment progression based on research, variety of units for recruitment, resource management -- all the elements of more modern strategy games. The single most annoying feature is the interface and lack of streamlining, but again, it's old school. Full Review »

If you don't love this game: A) You hate the Cyberpunk B) You still confuse good strategy with good Graphics C) You believe yourself a true knowledger because you are some cute elf in some cute childish pseudo-strategical game. Full Review »
