  1. A must-have expansion for any serious monument builder, with the added attraction of being able to skip those frustrating levels for anyone having difficulty completing the original game.

While those who waltzed through the first game will certainly appreciate the new additions and challenge, this pack may be a little intimidating to those who are new to the series or who had a little trouble the first time around.
  3. At times it’s enough to make the would-be follower of Pharaoh yell, “Holy Moses!”
  4. Cleopatra is both more difficult and more complex than "Pharaoh," but it also makes the game seem new and fresh.

The gameplay gets a little repetitive, but fans of "Pharaoh" will definitely have fun with Cleopatra.
  6. Most of the new scenarios are both challenging and interesting, the additional monuments are all superb, and the new features are welcome additions.
  7. Although Cleopatra is just as enjoyable as "Pharaoh," it doesn't really change the experience for the better.
  8. It's a diverting little game but it doesn't reach any great heights.

A great addition to Impressions' city-building series,"Cleopatra" is a must-have for Pharaoh freaks.
  10. The only problem with Cleopatra pretty much remains the only problem with Pharoah. As near as I can tell, no change has been made to the way walkers wander around your city randomly dispensing services like so many civil-service tooth fairies.
  11. It's a beautiful game that attracts with its looks and dynamics rather than originality.
  12. 80
Other than a few new monuments and industries it's really just more of the same, but if you couldn't get enough of Pharaoh, then you will definitely love Cleopatra.
  13. Doesn't really add enough that's new to the game, nor does it tweak the gameplay enough to fix some of the problems in "Pharaoh."

This is an outstanding game. The graphics (even though the game is 10+ years old) still look as charming and as beautiful as they did back inThis is an outstanding game. The graphics (even though the game is 10+ years old) still look as charming and as beautiful as they did back in 2000. The audio is great as you listen to the music inspired by ancient Egypt whilst hearing the sound effects of your bustling city. The game play is fun, varied and you will not get bored as there is always something to be doing. If you want to run this game on modern Windows, I've found it runs best on Windows XP SP1 - though this varies between people. If you get bored of the 100+ pre-built levels, you can create one using the in-game Map Editor which has a nice clean, easy to use interface which allowed me to create the maps I wanted with ease. The only criticism I have of the game is that it can get repetitive in the 'campaign' - as you have to keep on building cities with no real variation of objective. However, if you enjoy city builders then you will, without a doubt, love this game like I do. This is very close to a masterpiece, 9/10. Full Review »
