  1. These games really are the pinnacle of strategic warfare, and anybody of this bent who hasn't already visited really should give the Combat Mission Anthology a shot. Sure, the complexity will be too much for many, but persevere and there's a wealth of intelligent fun to be had here.
  2. Overall Combat Mission Anthology is a great buy, if you're looking to explore the deeper end of the World War II tactical combat pool.
  3. Moving about the map and changing views quickly to cover all your troops during the movement turn isn't easy and the path-finding ability of some of the units leaves a bit to be desired but on the whole Combat Mission Anthology can be highly recommended to all the armchair generals out there.

This is a great game. How can you knock it for being turn based when it IS a turn based game! This is a strategy game where you actually have time to plan and think about your troop movements. Try and do that in any RTS and all you get is lassoing a bunch of units and pointing where you want them to die. Try the demos for this game and you will see what I mean . Oh and flashy graphics are nice when you are watching your masses of little troops die. Here the graphics are reduced and more coding effort is in the gameplay. Finally this game is put out by Independant developers and not some bunch of overpayed, game clone designers. Expand
