Great fun! Especially the Multiplayer. It would get a 10 if not for some of the problems it has like how people have issues trying to play the game despite meeting the minimum requirements. In my opinion, the game was prematurely released but I'm sure patches would solve many problems. My system can handle the game perfectly fine and it is honestly quite different from the previous C&C games (in terms of gameplay) because of many brave new implements and greatly improved coding(Lag is minimal. Very very smooth gameplay). Overall, its amazingly fun but the fact that there are problems that significantly affect the gaming experience(I read in the forums about many people with problems), it doesn't get a 10. Expand

When I first bought this in May of '07, I would have given C&C3 an 8. Game play was quick, action-packed, and though there were some balance problems, they were very minor, so I didn't really complain. Fast forward to 9 (yes, thats right, NINE!) patches later. Automatch still doesn't work correctly, there's still a slew of connection problems, and, worst of all, EA succeeded in completely throwing the game's unit balance out the window. C&C3 is the perfect example of how a very solid game can be ruined. If the problems are fixed with Kane's Wrath, I might be back on the train for Red Alert 3. Expand

OMFG!!!! This game is by far the best RTS out there! The single-player campaign is unbelievable with all of the live action cutscenese (it's soooo damn cool having Michael Ironside and Boomer from Battlestar Gallactica telling me what to do, not to mention LANDO from STARWARS!!!) EA definitely pulled out all the stops and made this title worthy of the name Command & Conquer!

I give it this rating due to the combination of expectations, EA's budget as a game company, and abysmal performance across the board. Turned up to maximum settings on 1600x1200 21" monitor - the game looks like, well, crap. Crappy texturing makes me think they limited the game to get it to run on the Xbox 360's 512 meg ram. It runs perfectly on my old 6600 GT but it looks bad doing so - it's going to suck even worse if I upgrade. It's the interface (kludgy, and, yes, I know how to use it) and the gameplay (Tanks. Garrison. Where the hell is the strategy?) that pisses me off. Expand

I'm a big CnC and Red Alert fan and I really enjoyed this game with it's nice eye candy graphics. They did a great job keeping to the classics. The only thing I don't like are some of the balance issues such as the Mammoth tank is a little over powered with it's heavy durability, rail gun upgrade, and ability to fire at ground and air targets. GDI has a mobile battle base which can repair tanks and vehicles. They must have forgot to give NOD a mobile repair vehicle which is sad. The Avatar (NOD's heavy unit) is awesome but is way to expensive and time consuming to upgrade and doesn't even come close to the Mammoth tanks cheaper raw power. Well enough of my balance rant! This game is definitely great for all the Command and Conquer fans. Expand

I have always been a fan of the Command & Conquer series but this game makes the cake. It takes the RTS genre to a whole new level in entertainment for me, just the right amount of units and with only three sides the battles never stay the same but never get overly complicated. In my opinion, this is the best RTS ever.

I have to disagree with all the nitpickers. Sure, its the old CnC all over again, but there are enough features that make this game unique. Sure, there are no innovations as in WCIII, but this game was made to give back CnC to the fans after the rather untypical and generic Generals. The campaign is very diversive, and great fun, the graphics effectladen and still well performing, the engine itself very stable. The atmosphere and feel is just adorable, like the wonderful units and buildings, the main idea, the cheesy cutscenes, the military drill, the strategical options, the fast paced action etc. We should not forget what CnC and Dune did for this genre. For Red Alert 3 tough, there have to be innovations, regardless how they mastered and slicked what we loved about the old CnC games. That everyone gives the series the credit it deserves. Expand

Fantastic game, solid storyline, addictive gameplay. Videos are slightly on the cheesy side, but i take for granted that that was intended. Perhaps some younger gamers will consider this came a bit of an anachronism, but if you liked the classic RTS's (Dune 2, Command and Conquer, red alert) its worth checking out.

EA should learn that high production values =/= fun gameplay. The cutscenes with Kane and Michael Ironside are cool, but that gameplay itself is tired; we've all played it before. The RTS genre innovates at a snail's pace; C&C3 shows why. If you've been spoiled by SupComm and CoH, save your money.

Tons of fun, good looking even on moderate systems, and probably the best (and fastest playing) installment since Red Alert 2. And ignore all the lame haters. They sound like the type who, if the game did play like current RTS titles, they'ld still be here whining about how they played around with the formula or something like that and still giving it a 2.

Disappointed the enhanced generals engine looks dated. I was hopeing for better graphics than this the units fail the terrain is nice. Overly the Single player is a little depressing it doesn't grab me like previous storylines but the FMV is great and I look forward to them Kane is godlike again but NOD are owned far to easy. The scale of the maps is pitiful and at times restrictive. Now that we have games like Supreme commander that show what a modern PC can do with 80kmx80km maps its annoying ti find this Generals Update so limited. Its still got the cracking multiplayer aspect though which is fast paced but I still find my self turning it off and going back to RA2 for the multiplayer. Great for a pick up put down game but its no stayer. Expand

Ok, I had fairly high expectations for this game, maybe that's where I went wrong. I did enjoy the HD videos (Kane Rox) but the gameplay was extremely ordinary, it was fast and responsive but I think they forgot the FUN part. This may be your product if you enjoy the competitive online (and like spamming x units) but I'm sticking w/ CoH.

We finally just got ourselves a new king of RTS games. C&C 3 really delivers with it's action, online MP, powerful graphics engine, and the level of thinking is off the hook. The only downside to it is some of the live action cutscenes, good they may be, are somewhat over acted, but luckilly, Mr. Michael Ironside comes to save the day for it. An excellent extension of the C&C series, it suffers from slight balance issues, but still a total blast. It's reminiscent of the classic games, but with a shiny engine and, woohoo, they brought back good ole human videos. Multiplayer is a blast, but not too much of a metagame that I saw, although I'm much more into single player. Plenty of room for mods makes this worth buying for now and later. Expand

A simple game with simple generic strategy designed for idiots. Spamming a single unit for victory died back in the 90's, I guess C&C 3 makers didn't know that. But in this day and age of gaming if you have pretty explosions, people will like your game regardless of crappy play.

Westwood would've done it better, but EA deserves the credit for not screwing it up like they did with a lot of other franchises. Probably one of the best of modern RTS, along with Supreme Commander - and will probably stay that way until Universe at War and Starcraft 2 are out.

Simple game-play, limited tactics, very poor balance. I expected more from C&C 3, but instead of being innovative it reguritates the past in a pretty particle FX fiesta. C&C 3 is a shining example of mundane game-play wrapped in a pretty package. No wonder why the reviewers like it.

For who love the story's about the universe, its a must have. for those who fancy a simple, quik battle, its too. For all those who want inovation, with more choise of battlestyle-freedom, online action and some sort of replay value, it's not adviced to buy. The game uses tons of patches to fix all what doesn't fit (they changed every unit at least once, and total ecomy is reballanced). And a reason to play online aint there, unless your with friends, the avarege player has as much personality as a CPU. Expand

You get the games whole dam tech tree in like 3 MINUTES, thats the crappiest pacing ever, so basically a few minutes into the game and all the games weaker early units are entirely worthless. The game was clearly designed for the soul purpose of shooting for the lowest common denominator. The game is just pure shallow, they even removed the intense micro CnC was known for and made it all automatic, you just can't do that in a small scale 10 unit a faction a game. On top of all this the balance is horrid, the Mammoth completely obliterates anything, compare it to the NOD's Avatar it is crap, the Avatar when fully upgraded costs more then twice the price of a fully upgraded Mammoth and it's weaker then the Mammoth and doesn't have anti air! The Mammoth basically then owns all tanks, owns infantry, with the rail it makes infantry entirely pointless and it owns most of the air AND THIS IS A TANK YOU CAN GET A FEW MINUTES INTO THE GAME?!?! All these factors come together to make CnC 3 literally the most shallow RTS game ever made and don't think the balance will be fixed in the final oh no they already are finished with the game and are working on it's first patch which likely won't come out for months and will end up making things worse then they are. I didn't think RTS games could be made so casual and just so wrong on so many levels. The game is complete trash really, they took a step back from the intense micro of Generals back to 1 unit tank spam. The game has a nice old novelty to it at first, but once you dig in you get hands full of crap. The game was clearly dumbed down for the console version. Expand

Most of the fans weren't expecting any ground breaking innovations. They, like me, just wanted a game which was true to is predecessor. Cnc3 has all these things. A definitive leap on the C&C Universe, Westwood (or what is now known as EA LA) Studios have truly outdone themselves on not only keeping the spirit of what C&C is, which is fast paced and easy to play game play, but they have also made a game that will be remembered for a very a long time. "Redefining the RTS" says the PR talk. Forget about that, there's simply nothing new in this game. It's very EA, with no soul - far from the original series' glory. The only good thing are the campy, cheesy videos, but playing the game in between is almost painful, especially after spending some time with Supreme Commander. C&C1 (re)defined the genre, the second installment introduced a more three dimensional view and at least tried to do everything better. This one simply doesn't try anything. Very disappointing. Not a review, just a response to some stupid reviews. To Ham & Cheese Beef: My guess is, from your review that you dont have a high end pc and are jealous of those who do. As for calling the game dated, you clearly dont understand the concept of RTS if you call the game dated. Gameplay in RTS is almost always the same. EA move on from RTS? thats an insult to gamers, EA and Cnc fans alike. CnC is an RTS classic, and EA have done a great job keeping it going, refer to Generals and now Tiberium Wars. I'd say its time for YOU to leave RTS. To Peter G: Horrible console tailored interface??? Your kidding right? any gamer knows that the main platform for RTSes is PCs. The challenge is to make an RTS on a console, because its difficult to make an interface for consoles. So you've got the story the other way around man. Expand

It is really starting to annoy me. A steadily increasing amount of games released for the PC in the last few years make you immediately feel that underlying concepts have been seriously dumbed down for the consoles. C&C 3 fits the above example perfectly. Not only has it the horrible console tailored user interface, it's also a pretty shallow strategy game with no tactical variety / content at all. If CoH or Supcom are too demanding for you, then this might be the right game - else save your money and HD space. Expand

I must say I'm hugely disappointed in this game. Having played ALL the Westwood (now EA LA) RTS games, this is the worst. Here are a few reasons why: 1) The one and only strategy (in single player) is to group all your units and start a clickfest againts enemy units. 2) All the maps all small and cramped, so there no room to maneuver 3) The lack of any basic formation control puts all your weak units to the frontline 4) Single player game is TOO fast-paced, and you'll have a hard time targetting enemy units 5) The weak enemy AI has to use triggered attacks and superior numbers, because without them the player would always win. 6) Often the campaign doesn't let you use the units that would suit best for the situation (i.e. Zone Troopers) On the good side are : 1) The game is relatively easy on your hardware 2) Some spiffy effects (but nothing truly gorgeous) 3) FMVs tie the story nicely together. Disappointed. Expand

maybe a little to fast for a RTS game as multiplayer matches can be over a little to quickly thanks to engineers and commandos, its sort of gone back to its original roots from the the early years which ain't a bad thing and its great that they have gone back to the cool cheesy FMV sequences. EA continues to milk yet another series. This is mostly a Generals reskin with some engine optimization, and some impressive GFX, but zero innovation, many units even being copy/pasted from gens (GDI rocket buggy = GLA rocket buggy, Mammoth = Overlord. Quite buggy too, many times tanks and especially harvesters will clip, sometimes even crashing completely. (don't tell me its my rig cause I have 6600e core duo, 2 gigs, 2 7900GTs in SLI). Single player is the same as the old CNC games (stop the rocket from launching with Kane sending corny "you'll never stop me" messages is just old). How much CNC nostalgia can you have? Well apparently EA thinks you have quite a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if they start a CNC2008, CNC2009 etc series since the Fanboys will buy. If you want something new, revolutionary and innovative get SupCom or CoH. Expand

An excellent title. It isn't as innovative as some of the other RTS's on the market, like Supreme Commander or Company of Heroes. The game is a blast. Hell, I really like playing an older style of RTS like this then some of the newer RTSs. Gameplay is fast and fun, and the graphics are pretty nice considering there is no unit cap. I have always been a big C&C fan, and this really disappointed me. The game looks great, and runs smooth, but thats about it. The whole game felt very childish to me. The way the GI's just fall over and start doing push-ups when they're not busy, the way missiles leave funny looking crooked smoke tails, among other things. Although this RTS may seem a little less involved than others, you really feel immersed in your battles in C&C3. You can better micromanage your forces and really see what is making you win or lose a battle. There are some modern features incorporated in the game, such as directional armor and planning mode. It's just that the benefits from them are often hard to see. Those complaining about the lack of complexity just aren't using the tools that C&C3 does have to offer. My only gripe is that the campaign is a little short. But the missions are very well designed. They are often quite challenging but loads of fun. Expand

So average it is shocking. I now play this game as I do web games... i'm bored, have 15 mins spare so do another quick mission (they ALL take 1020 mins to complete). Make no mistake here - this is C&C, but unfortunately it is still C&C 1 just with nicer graphics. boring boring boring. The graphics look melted and lack detail - terrain, structures and units. As for the game... it's just like every other rts you ever played before. Only with mediocre graphics. SO why play? To look at the gorgeous terrain? Nah, it's so-so. To compete against wily AI opponents? Nope, they're mediocre. To experience something new? Nope, you've been playing the essentially the same game with a "skin pack" for the last 20 years ever since the first RTS appeared. If there'd never been an RTS b4, this would be a fine game. As it is.... it's a re-re-re-re-hash of those who went b4. And there's just no reason to play it, when you could be playing compnay of heroes or even C&C generals instead. Expand

Seriously this part of C&C, as it is now, is pretty boring and buggy. Its not even only bugs that screw up the gameplay, like not getting unlockables no matter how 100% you play through the game, or not getting the right end sequence of the game while replaying the last mission all over again for it. Sadly there are even exploits too that can be used in multiplayer part of the game, like mothership + buzzers + wormhole = instant boom of half the enemy base or army. Well and even besides the bugs and exploits this game is just plain boring too often. GDI singleplayer gameplay is like massing mammoth tanks and firehawks as much and as often as possible. Right now iam done with gdi campaign and didnt go on playing the nod campain for like 2 weeks, since it is too boring, looks more like work than fun and it feels like there is nothing really new too see there anyways. Multiplayer mode of this game is like 3 - 10 minutes of rushing in like 90% of the games. No 45 or 60 minutes long matches like you see between some starcraft gosus, no 3-5 side bases, no parallel attacks with different unit types on different locations of the map. It is all much more straight forward rushing and with less potential than other games. Since the overall presentation of the game with its actors and videos is ok and some units feel pretty cool (some sadly feel a bit overdone) in the beginning, this game still gets 5/10. Maybe 7.5/10 or something like that when the game is fully patched and ea releases some totally free content upgrades. Expand

Extremely enjoyable game. Cut scenes remind me of the glory days of C&C and they are remarkably well done, drawing you further and further into the engaging story. Gameplay is fluid, smooth, even on lower end machines with the proper settings. The action is intense, engaging, and captivating to watch.

This game is a huge step forward in the series. Not only do the graphics look pretty, the additions take this game from a whoever builds the fastest wins to a very in depth strategy game. The addition of planning mode makes it nearly impossible to go back. All in all, I'd recommend this game to anyone.

Fun single player, but that's likely all you'll get to play if you buy this. With all the time they've spent working on balance, merch, and hype, the net code of this game sucks, horribly. A large number of people cannot even play online (myself included) due to shoddy network code. Don't pay retail price for a game that still seems to be in beta.

Two point for good storyline. one point for good actors. another point for ... oh ... erm ... that's it. could someone tell ea to stop? pls? i mean, it sure looks nice when i'm not ingame and i sure love the story about the tiberium but ... ea messed it all up. and i guess the moneyflow stopped during the scrin campaign.

Overall, Command And Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars is a good game but fails to add anything revolutionary to the RTS Genre. With so so many online problems I've had with it, I just can't justify giving it a higher rating than 7, even though the Campaign on the whole is brilliant and my only complaint is that the Scrin campaign left much to be desired.

The game looks darn promising, the graphics and lighting looks gorgeous, BUT if any only if some of the gamer can actually play it!!! This game is way too buggy, hang is a commonly known issue in which the patches doesn't do any good to it.

I have been a C&C fan since the beginning, but this Tiberium Wars SUCKED. Zero Hour had Great graphics’ Great Stories, Wonderful Missions, But Tiberium Wars constant use of the right mouse click when the left mouse click worked on all the other versions, beats me. I enjoyed some of the missions but so boring to play. It really wasn’t worth the money.

At best, very mediocre. The gameplay will have you mass spamming a select one or two types of units and hurling them at the enemy. The game lacks any type of strategic depth, despite the introducion of things like directional armour. Spamming and rushing with your vanguard units are the order of the day and ultimately doesn't amount to much more than a refinement of 90's RTS mechanics. Even tech buildings, while sometimes worth capturing, are fairly uninspired. If you enjoyed the previous games I guess this is worth playing, even if it's trying to seel you repackaged 90s gaming. Be warned though, if you liked the GDI/NOD story and expect this to be a faithful successor to Tiberian Sun, you can forget about it. You can literally count on a few fingers the number of elements that survived from TibSun. CNC3 feels more like a regressive sequel to Tiberian Dawn than anything else. The bottomline: if it wasn't for the weight of the CNC name, the polished graphics, marketing and the general big-budget extravaganza in its production, Tiberium Wars would attract the score it really deserves - which is 60-70%. When I bought this game, I expected fast pace intense gameplay, and that's what I got. The campaign is long and challenging, which is good, excluding the Scrin campaign which was only 4 missions. While playing through the campaign you are presented with HD cinematics (before, after and during missions) which are fairly cheesy and unconvincing, however, it's better then nothing. The graphics, although not perfect, are very nice. In addition to the graphics is the neat sound design which is usually overlooked, so I suggest pumping up the volume. Balance wise, the game seems to be almost balance in patch 1.09, except for a few units, so if you're playing still with pre-1.09, I highly suggest you download the patch because it changes several major gameplay mechanics such as the economy which cutsdown "spamming" by a lot. Bottom line, if you have ever liked any C&C game, or you like RTS games in general, then I highly suggest you buy this because your missing out on a good game. Expand

It was a good game to be sure. And it kept me entertained. The combat was nice, if not incredibly reminiscent of C&C Generals. Problems: The game requirements are phenomenal, I got sick of the game since it kept crashing on my computer. The faction and unit balance is horrible, Scrin is overpowered. Static defenses don't help much at all against anything but an AI since they can get steam rolled too easily. Bases are also incredibly vulnerable since they basically force you to cram buildings close to each other. It was good for awhile. Expand

This is the most UNBALANCED RTS i have ever played!!! This is my main complaint: Most units are almost useless and ONLY used to counter other units. Like a ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS GAME. That is why this sucks as soon as you relise this. This really disappointed me because I was expecting a really balanced game.

C&C 3 sums up everything wrong with most RTS games today. The graphics are nice, Joe Kucan is awesome, but the game-play is horrible. Spamming tons of the same type of unit and calling it "fast, fluid, and fun" is absurd. The game lacks strategy and depth. It really would have been nice that instead of patching the game 9 times (in 9 months), they just did a beta test. What a mess... If you want pretty explosions and nothing more, C&C 3 fits the bill, but if you want depth and serious game-play go with something like Universe at War or Supreme Commander. Expand

Only thing keeping me from giving it top score is the Scrin campaign. While twas fun smiting them down, twas not agreable playing them, for you have no clue as to what structure serves what purpose, same with Scrin units.

The three main portions of this game: campaign, skirmish and multiplayer have all been very successful. The campaign was true to form of previous C&C games set in the tiberium universe. The storyline was great, the mission gameplay was great. The FMV and CG scenes left a little to be desired, but were also quite good. Skirmish play is excellent. There are different difficulty levels that your AI opponents or allies can be set at. They can also be set to use different play styles. The multiplayer portion, while lackluster during the first few months of release, has been fine-tuned and is now very enjoyable. It's funny what 9 patches will do to a game :) Expand

In light of currently amazing RTS game releases such as Company of Heroes, Medieval 2, and Supreme Commander, it seems strange that anyone would release a game that feels as archaic and looks as average as C&C 3 does. I suppose that there's some logic in providing an RTS games that more lower-end PCs can run smoothly but overall, this game just feels too 'meh'. The whole fast-paced rush-rush gameplay is no longer as fun as it was in the dawn of the genre and the game brings no new innovations and actually foists off some clunky User Interface designs that actually make the game less user-friendly that some older games in its category. Just an average game all-around. Don't fall for the hype, buy Supreme Commander or Company of Heroes, or even Medieval 2 before you pick up this throwback game. Expand

The game marks a return to the insipid gameplay of the original c&c series. Whilst prettier than RA2, looks don't mean everything especially when the gameplay is boring. I mean the game does not look that pretty anyways really ... considering it is using a refurbished battle of middle earth 2 engine.

The re-release of the original IMO and at this time when game companies are struggling with the balance of quaility and functions versus release and profit is why this still scores so high. Its really sad to see games that have come out and with this quility beating so many new games. I thisnk if more put the investment and look as they have with this one. This game would have been ignored. Old theme just redone. Its still fun but gets old fast....build allot of med tanks and RUSH RUSH...they still cant fix that with something like 5 min wait time or ubder base defenses that would eleminate the rushers....but that mot why for my vote. Its just the same sage repackaged...last about a week of fun then its repeat, repeat, to the point its too boring. There so much more that could be done with this on a multiplayer side then the limited way its setup. Expand

Great graphics are really all this half-arsed sequel brings to the table. The storyline feels forced, the FMVs are painful to watch; gameplay feels incredibly generic, and the fact that there is no innovation whatsoever makes for an utterly forgettable game.

Excellent RTS Experience! Basically what you can expect from Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars is balanced races, superb graphics for an RTS, a fun campaign w/ HD movies, huge online gaming community, as well as several units. It added alot to the previous games other than just upping the graphics. You get a new campaign, new story, new race, as well as a few new units and buildings. They have already released a Level Editor which they plan to make mods later in (Like Warcraft III). As well as patches, its a supported game and was released when it was ready. The BEST IN THE RTS Genre to DATE. Expand

Possibly the fastest RTS game to date as well as having the most missions developed in a 3D RTS game ever. The story is great and so is the fast gameplay. Balance issues remain but some things should have been added into the game such as sky textures and the click and drag box with background shading.

This was the most fun with an RTS game since Emperor: Battle for Dune. It doesn't share Emperor's fantastic strategic opportunities offered by various units, but it offers tons of fun, and many ideas made me completly ignore the fact that the gameplay is rather repetitive. There are some nice, though minor introductions, which don't make it seem like a complete repetition. Also, both the gameplay and story line are at their best in this installment. If I were to compare it with Red Alert 3, I would san CnC3 got everything right that RA got wrong in terms of game design, graphics, unit design, as well as the way the missions are constructed. Lots of fun. Expand

Okay, so just as a reminder, I'm reviewing this game about 3.5 years after its release. Besides Starcraft 2, there haven't been many big players entering the 'real time strategy' genre lately, and Tiberium Wars holds up very well. Gameplay: C&C3:Tiberium Wars is very fast paced. If you're playing on easy you'll be wondering why some of the units are so much more powerful than the others, and think it unfair; but playing against a difficult computer or player you'll find that there is usually no time or money to get to the bigger units, for better or for worse. Visual: In my personal opinion, I think the art and unit designs are great. The factions look like they should (GDI: Very professional, military-like, NOD: Sci-fi'ish, SCRIN: Buglike alien). The engine though hasn't held up very well, though on some maps (with particular lighting) the game looks just as good as anything released today, but the majority of the maps showcase a game that is only decent looking by today's standards. Single/Multiplayer: The single player is great, with many missions for each faction and live action scenes between each mission. I haven't played online, but I have played LAN a few times, which was pretty fun but we did experience synch issues a few times, and the game just wasn't as fun on multiplayer as it's predecessor, C&C:Generals. Overall: It's a great game, and if you're a fan of the genre it's a great buy. Expand

Looks like this game had a pretty big budget just judged by the lot of television/ movie stars in the cutscenes. Its really awesome and i would just love to see that in more games. Anyways something that could be even better would be EA finally giving the budget to a decent team and stop letting the C&C franchise from going down the sewer with mediocre games.

This game is to this day (03/09/12) one of my all time favorite strategy games on the Xbox and the PC. this games admittedly odd, yet interesting cut scenes convey the story like no other strategy game out there each mission feels like you're trying to accomplish something not just going for a skirmish although you mainly ARE going for the skirmish win it puts you in situations around them. like one mission you only have infantry to capture and hold 4 fully constructed bases with vehicles aircraft and turrets. it is extremely challenging at times like in the aforementioned scenario. the fast paced gameplay runs flawlessly on my admittedly poor PC. and one of the greatest parts of this game is the fact that you can watch as an upgraded army of Venoms slaughters literally thousands of enemy infantry in a few seconds (they are the weakest and best infantry killers in the game). the units are all balanced well and can be countered if you know what to build. the connection problems online are a problem however, not it doesn't happen that much anymore but there is always the risk of being given a message that says "Your game has fallen out of sync with your opponents, Disconnecting" and then the game shuts down contrary to what it says it doesn't mean that just you disconnect it means the server disconnects from you and it kicks everyone. aside from that i love this game and it's semi-expansion/full game/whatever: Kane's Wrath. I highly recommend this game to any and all strategy game fans. Expand

  1. It's action-packed gameplay; attractive, colorful visuals; and star-studded videos are sure to draw in both hardcore fans of the series and large numbers of new players. [Apr 2007, p.20]
  2. It's deeply hilarious - as aracde-feeling as strategy games can get...It does everything it can, bar a song and dance routine, to entertain you. And it succeeds. [Apr 2007, p.62]
  3. After years in the wilderness, RTS is pretty cool again right now, and something as cheerfully straightforward as this is just what's needed to stop the big braininess of "Company of Heroes" and "Supreme Commander" leading to another plunge into an inaccessibility that turns more casual players off the whole genre.
