  1. An awesome game, and exceptional fun. If you're a fan of "Dune II" or "Warcraft" then this one will be a winner.
  2. An adrenaline rush in a box...Everything about this game shouts quality.
  3. Playing the entire conflict in the role of the other side makes for twice the gameplay value, and I don't even want to think about what's going to happen when the six-player networkable version comes out. Highly, highly recommended.
  4. If you like strategy gaming, get Command & Conquer. [Nov 1995, p.108]
  5. This is such a fast paced game and there is so much action at any given time on the screen that keeping up could give you a slight case of carpal tunnel syndrome!

  1. The first C&C game that started the RTS genre became history to the fans of C&C but not for its gameplay, buggy AI, graphics and sound. It wasn't until C&C Red Alert that fixed most of the issues from the first C&C. Gameplay is difficult and unbalanced as well as lack of stereo sound and music. I never got to play this game until it went freeware several years ago which also had unofficial patches involving high resolution. The story and the FMVs were also boring that was just the beginning. Full Review »
  2. Being released in 1995, it obviously doesn't hold up as well as it could. But at the time, this game was awesome. If you're a fan of games of that era and you can stomach the troublesome interface, then check out C&C1. Full Review »
