A platforming masterclass from developer Double Stallion. Accessible for League fans and newcomers alike that nails it on every level. Put some time on your clock for this adventure.
Younger and older players who grew up on classic platform 2D games will find their way to an atypical game from a well-known universe. The game itself is excellently presented, the action side is definitely entertaining, the sound and music fit perfectly into the animated graphics in the atmospheric city, where you definitely have something to discover.

Convergence: A League of Legends Story doesn't propose any innovative ideas, but it implements the existing ones so well that they add up to an excellent metroidvania game, guaranteed to please fans of the genre.
In the end, Convergence: A League of Legends Story is a game about choosing who you want to be and forging bonds with others. No one can save the world alone. Isolation will only make you lose sight of what you were trying to save. It’s also a game about how awesome time-bending parkour is, and I respect that.
It’s clear from the outset that Double Stallion, the developer behind Convergence, has a lot of passion for Ekko and the League of Legends world at large. Every moment, story beat, and line of dialogue is carefully crafted, and with an art style as gorgeous as this, it makes for an experience that will please just about any League of Legends fan.
The dozen or so hours of Convergence: A League Of Legends Story accomplished what it's set out to do: It told me a great story set within the League of Legends universe, and it did so with fun gameplay and a cool world to explore. Ekko is a fantastic character, and his time-bending kit is a lot of fun to mess around with while running, jumping, and climbing through the world of Zaun. However, the game plays it safe a lot of the time, which I feel holds it back from its true potential. I enjoyed Convergence, it is worthy of the franchise from which it was born, but it won't be the first game I think of when I look at the library Riot is building.
Convergence: A League of Legends Story is a really solid platformer, and an even better story. There are some minor annoyances throughout, and the game peaks fairly quickly with a slow middle section, but the end payoff certainly makes it worth sitting through in its entirety.
Good-
Comic book-style aesthetic lends itself well to the action and looks sharp throughout. Time-winding mechanics and combat feel responsive, while side content provides fun diversions. Well-designed bosses. A solid narrative with good voice-acting all around.
Bad-
Combat can get a bit messy on some occasions, especially in some of the more packed rooms. Certain enemies feel generic. Having more context on Ekko's backstory from the start would have been nice.
Thoughts-
Like The Mageseeker, it’s not very long but doesn’t bog you down with filler and arguably has better pacing. While fans may appreciate it more, even those who never got into the MOBA or swept up in the Arcane craze will find plenty to enjoy in Convergence.
