Shooting is a pure delight in this game and it’s the best recommendation a shoot’em up can get. [08/2014, p.72]

You may have noticed that we didn’t have much to say about Crimzon Clover: World Ignition that was negative. That was by design, though, as we can’t fault a game for flaws it doesn’t possess.

Crimzon Clover may not be the most fully-featured or best-looking shoot-'em-up around, but the commitment to excellence for both the player's ship mechanics and the enemy bullet designs is impressive.

Fans of the genre have likely already found this game on Steam, so will know how enjoyable and well-crafted Crimzon Clover World Ignition is. As for others, all you should know is that Crimzon Clover World Ignition is a quality shoot ‘em up with easy to learn mechanics that is worth the asking price of admission to learn the basics of the genre and grow with its workings to become a bullet hell master.

One of Crimzon Clover WORLD IGNITION’s primary strengths is that it’s easy to pick up but difficult to master. There is definitely enough here to make casual players feel welcome, whilst encouraging hardcore shump fans to keep coming back for more.

You can 'beat' it in a half hour, it is intimidating and unbearably difficult with little story to speak of.

    Just shmup fans left? Good.

Just shmup fans left? Good. Crimzon Clover is perfectly tuned and intensely rewarding. The novice difficulty is immediately accessible and the scoring system favors a style of play that keeps you holding on just a bit longer to deploy break mode, and later on, deploying break mode and then double breaking at the perfect moment, causing the sky to erupt in awesome. Arcade mode is arcade hard, but not cheap. Your hitbox is a glowing jewel a few pixels wide, and the screen will fill with bullets, but nothing is unavoidable. Still, good luck with that 1cc. Unlimited mode is beatable by Yotsubane only, but is included as a bonus.

This is top tier goodness, pick it up.
