Fascinating stories, great twists, good graphics, superior voice acting, decent gameplay and the desire to now become a CSI once again is what we are left with. And that is good enough.
  2. The characters are interesting, the stories are a good mix and ran smoothly, and wound up satisfactorily.
  3. 3DoM might not cross over adequately enough to entertain adventure game fans accustomed to epic story lines, but then again, it just might--it certainly comes closer than any of the previous CSI or even Law and Order games. [Jun 2006, p.104]
  4. Initially the control scheme seems overly complicated; extended play reveals it’s anything but, with the game often verging on the easy side.
  5. All I can say is, every time I see a stain on my clothes or a mysterious splotch of paint on the wall, I have a strong urge to swab it.
  6. If you enjoy mystery-solving games, or if you like the CSI series, or if you played the other games and enjoyed them, you’ll really enjoy this latest version.
  7. More like a series of interactive episodes of the show, with the point and click bits amounting to a basic means to get to the next part of the story.
  8. This is a solid sequel in the franchise and while it doesn't really break any new ground, it does make some minor but important improvements that make it the best game in the series.
  9. It's a good diversion for an evening but it won't have any lasting appeal.
  10. A lack of interactivity and an over-simplistic puzzle system quickly engender apathy and boredom.
  11. It's very good at what it's doing, but the problem is that's very limited. [July 2006, p.83]
  12. Despite the touted inclusion of full 3D environments and longer cases, 3 Dimensions of Murder mostly covers well-worn territory, and it's still a breeze to play through.

If you love the show and have loved the other CSI titles there’s no reason you won’t love this one. However, there’s absolutely nothing here that will woo non-fans, and so most should choose to avoid it.
  14. Dated, mediocre babble, from those who should know better. [July 2006, p.90]
  15. 50
The real downside to this is that you can't fail. You'll always uncover the real criminal, and you never have to worry about contaminating evidence using incorrect procedures.
  16. Forensics is inherently intriguing, and hardcore fans of the show will most likely find the game worth a look unless graphics matter to them in any way, shape, or form. [Oct. 2006, p.74]

Though it may be powered by DirectX 8.1, this game does not disappoint. Everything is rendered in 3D, and has good reflection effects. The Though it may be powered by DirectX 8.1, this game does not disappoint. Everything is rendered in 3D, and has good reflection effects. The face animations are what take a point off. There are not many facial "muscles" so very little of the face reacts to the lip-synch, which is far-off. Overall, this is sure to give any fan of the show a taste of what it would be like to work the graveyard shift in the Las Vegas Crime Lab. Full Review »

But there is so much to do and the crimes and the investigating are so involving that I've barely solved 3 so far after many hours of playing. And every hour has been captivating. I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for something a little different. Full Review »

I have loved every tv show and spin off and the games are a terrific addition to the overall series. As a real life police officer with friends on a local CSI team, I can tell you that this game is not that far fetched! The crimes may seem outlandish to the untrained eye, but believe me, this is the real deal! Not or the faint of heart but certainly for the adventurous thinker. Full Review »
