  • Summary: Daemonica is a 3D interactive mystery set in medieval England. Take on the role of Nicholas Farepoynt, an investigator who can talk to the Dead. You will explore the dark surroundings of the slowly dying city of Cavorn, talk to both the living and dead to gather information, punish the deserved, collect herbs to make potions and enhance your senses and slowly discover what role you will play in all of this. As you strive to solve the murder of a young girl, more dead appear and the town starts to slip into insanity. A grim, long-forgotten secret, something that should never see the light of day, again slowly awakes. [Meridian4] Expand

  1. A supremely wonderful adventure game with some dark subject matter. Though it has some faults, they are very small and don't really detract from the great story. Get this if you love a good mystery adventure.
  2. It’s great to see a horror-themed game that goes more for the cerebral end of the spectrum rather than straight the jugular, but there are a few moments where you might not want to step into a darkened area or find out what’s happened to a character you’ve befriended.
  3. A decent little game with an interesting and unique storyline, as long as you don’t mind the slow pace and excessive amount of required reading.
  4. Despite its attempts to add a unique spin to the genre, Daemonica is generally a tedious and unappealing adventure game.

Loved it! Finally a horror game that plays with your head and doesn't rely solely on cheap 'jump out and scare you' tactics. I really hope there a sequel... Expand

Dark moody soundtrack fit beautifully with the depressed village. Top down view worked well for me, soemthing different in an adventure game. The main character out Grissoms Grissom! A medieval CSI who also talks to the dead. Who thinks these things up?? I love it! Expand

Solid adventure game. This is not what you would call a traditional adventure game. The inclusion of action elements and 3D environments are nice touches. Talking to the dead doesn't hurt either ;) Expand

This game heavily reminds me of those text adventure games from the early 1980's, in which you have to find the right specific combination of inane clues to progress. The graphics in this game are essentially window dressing: this is an infocom adventure. Expand
