I played the demo only. The arcade thing is not the worst part of this game - it's a nightmare that there are no other difficulty modes, if the difficulty has been set to 3 to 8 times more harder then this game won't be so poorly rated. Player can prone, roll left and right when prone. While leaning left or right and still be able to shoot with the use of a sniper scope. But I'd rather play the other game ArmA, since this one is too easy, as there are so many of them firing at you from a far distance (or medium range for some), but the probability of you getting hit is almost like 1 in a 1000. The game has singleplayer missions. They are very bland and boring. You spend 3/4 of the time running to different places of the map. While there are vehichles in the game, most are not drivable thus keeping you walking through the entire thing. The multiplayer lacks many players. The maps are designed to have about 30 players and I only see about 8. Plus the lag is insane! And spam is unreal. Very dissapointed in this title. Expand

Very arcade. Miles away from ghost recon.

For sheer fun, DFX is hard to beat. It's got huge maps, oodles of ai per map, lots of mods and maps online, and a solid online community so you can play at almost any hour. The AI is pretty dense, but designers compensate by making them more accurate, or by adding lots more to a map. If you don't like AI, there are many standard MP games and maps. DFX offers lots of mayhem, it's inexpensive, doesn't challenge the average PC and it has a great co-op mode. What more could you want? Expand

I have successfully led a FPS gaming clan for over 5 years. (DoW_Den of Wolves) We have played almost every FPS tactical game on the market since 1999. DFX is a PERFECT balance of tactical and straight forward gaming to date. The Mission editor is by far the simplest and most powerful I

  1. DFX is designed for the casual gamer in mind and has a zero learning curve. You can pick up and play and have a blast for a MSRP of about 20 bucks. You gotta love that!
  2. The original Delta Force was cutting edge at the time and while Xtreme is a bit of a mission pack, it’s cheap and offers excellent offline and online gaming for under fourty bucks.
  3. This one will move a few units at Wal-Mart, but no more. [July 2005, p.69]
