  • Summary: Fight in the Independence War, through the War of the Waters, and on into the Six Day War! The ardent beliefs on both sides, combined with modern warfare technology and tactics, produce a succession of wars sending shockwaves throughout the Middle East. [TalonSoft]

Though configurable enough for newbie play, the subject matter actually makes for a poor tactical wargame.
  2. The eerie sense that you played this game several years ago. Old engine, old graphics, different packaging.
  3. It has a sense of immediacy typically missing from wargames. Unfortunately, this doesn't quite sustain what is otherwise a relatively limp adaptation of TalonSoft's wargaming engine.
  4. 61
While Divided Ground is still a faithful simulation, the engine is really starting to show its age. Moreover the nature of the conflict in the Middle East is weighed down with a few limitations that keep the game from being as exciting as "Eastern Front II" or "Rising Sun."
  5. Ultimately, Divided Ground is brought down by broken campaigns, a wealth of bugs, poor play balancing, lackluster AI and lack of a decent, printed manual.
