I still love this game and it's over 15 years old -- if that isn't enough to make you want to try it, I don't know what else would.

Doom II may not have the same visceral impact that it did 15 years ago, but it is still a hellaciously fun game that's worth checking out.
If you are in the need to go into a game and slaughter creatures in a mindless fashion, then Doom II is definitely for you. Do not expect top of the line graphics or high quality music, but you can expect a lot of killing and being killed as you play your way through the slaughterhouse called Doom II again.
It’s a shame that the online aspects are so hit and miss, but the new chapter helps to smooth over that complaint. It’s old school and simple, but if you can look past that you’ll definitely have a blast with Doom II on Xbox Live Arcade.
It's always fun to see Doom II again, but it doesn't make the big splash that it did seventeen years ago
the game is dope idc if people think the graphics are bad or “outdated” the experience is still great

just like the other doom port to xbla and the bfg edition, they yet again just slapped the dos version with no improvements at all, with the music at half speed and no auto sprint

Id Software qui ne manquait pas d'idées à l'époque venait de créer un nouveau genre : le jeu de tir à la première personne. A cet égard, il s'agissait d'une petite révolution en soi accompagné d'une maîtrise technique indéniable.
Mais l'arbre cachait la forêt : le premier Doom n'était qu'un labyrinthe répétitif et idiot en définitive et cette suite bassement commerciale n'a fait qu'exploiter le filon et constitue davantage un "data disk" qu'une véritable nouveauté. Ainsi est recyclé le même jeu idiot et labyrinthique avec des clés jaunes, rouges et bleues. Et des monstres, des tas de monstres. Maintenant, c'est les zombis. Comme quoi, rien ne change, tout se transforme.
