I immediately start by identifying the few points that do not allow this game to achieve excellence: a good, but not perfect, graphics, some enigma that seems illogical and overly complex, an overall development of the story that, sometimes, seems a little hasty...

That said, "Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon" is one of the best adventure/puzzle games of the past five or six years.

That said, "Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon" is one of the best adventure/puzzle games of the past five or six years.

Simply, the combination of plot, setting and characters is spectacular.

The attention to detail is of first quality, the climax of well structured, the tension perfectly developed.

A truly, enjoyable, horror/gothic adventure and some characters are to remember (except Dracula... that appear strangely out of context...).

Personally, I find it really a great product, and, among other things, accessible, to date, at very low cost.

  1. While Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon is a step above some of Kheops latest efforts (Cleopatra, Destination Treasure Island) it has a minimalist look to it and still feels too much like a cookie-cutter project.

If code breaking, chemistry, and arcane rituals are your ultimate brain-melt fondue, though, bare your neck for Dracula 3.
  3. Dreary and dated.
