This game has some nice ideas with nice graphics and an open world to explore but... The game has many bugs and problems like frame drops, breaking gameplay mechanics. I think this game is still in beta
My experience with Earthrise lasted somewhere under 2 hours after receiving a trial code in my inbox. Unfortunately there is nothing new, good, revolutionary or even addictive to this game. The graphics are good indeed, but even with every setting on low, this games fails to deliver a playable FPS while using a high end PC only 3 years old. Still it was manageable to a point to test out the content. The game starts with a bunch of tutorial quests that are merely talk to X kind, like I said they are few, filled with long and boring text that fails to explain anything about the world you are in. The Earthrise world is literally a sandbox, but without any toys and with a few plastic soldiers scattered around. It took me 10 minutes of walking to get from the quest giver to the mob killing zone and the path between them was empty space. Yes, no other npcs, no game objects, no events, no nothing. Just beautiful landscape and badly rendered water. The game has no atmosphere at all, even the NPCs look and act like 3d cardboard boxes. The AI is a total joke, I was having trouble killing quest npc because they were constantly going out of battle and reseting health. The server/client issues are so bad and the lag between them is so big, it makes the "revolutionary" targeting system completely unusable, so fighting is merely just spamming left click like a mad man. A quick look in the skill section and you are lost. There are a few hundred skills to pick from which you get based on points you get from doing quests. They are not self-explanatory at all, and most of them resemble each other.
All in all I gave this game 2 points because: 1. It has amazing graphics if your machine can handle it so not having a high end 3 month old rig won't cut it and 2. It has one of the best looking UI I have seen: it's clean, simple and intuitive (unlike other mmos where you get used to it only after a whole week or in some cases a month), but it doesn't make up for all the other mistakes. Too bad this game does not deliver, the idea behind it might be one of the coolest I've seen sine Tabula Rasa.
The MMO Earthrise is a science fiction-MMO with an emphasis on fights amongst players. The game tries to do things 'differently', but isn't done by a long shot in technical terms.
This game ****. **** **** ****. It's so bad. I don't even know what to start on. I mean seriously? no multi-threading? What's wrong with the company that made this game?
Game graphic is very good.
But game system is bad.
Character moving is very slow.
I feel stress to moving.
Gun fire effects is Cheap.
Sprint time is very short.
