Enclave on PC is illegally beautiful; in fact, I'd venture to say it ranks among PC's best-looking ever if you have the power to run it optimally. What a shame and horrible oversight that it doesn't allow you to use a control pad of any kind. [June 2003, p.58]
-
85The PC version of Enclave has a much tighter control scheme then compared to the Xbox version.
-
84The game is fun, with great environments, fun weapons, tight controls, and quirky enemies.
-
84Forget about the Xbox version. Enclave is an action-packed joy to behold on the PC. [Apr 2003, p.98]
-
82The PC version is very playable, has a good story line and will give you plenty of bang for your buck.

Enclave isn't a clever game, nor is it an ambitious one... If your looking for a quality fantasy beat-em-up with more brawn and beauty than brains, it's a winning choice. [May 2003, p.81]

80I think it is an atrocity that there is absolutely no multiplayer, and the lack of save points make the game utterly unbearable at some points. In anycase, if you're looking for a decent RPG that delivers an above average experience, Enclave should fit the bill quite well.
-
This fun is tempered by the frustration created by the lack of mid-mission saves, surprise death traps, and a combat system which makes a challenging game even more difficult.
-
Beyond the graphics, Enclave isnt particularly anything special. The plotline is such a shallow hash that you dont end up feeling anything for the characters, which are unlikely to evoke the sort of empathy (or major motion pictures) of, say, Lara Croft.
-
73A technical demonstration gone horribly awry when it came time to lay in the gameplay that would make it all truly epic.
-
67Though the game's developers clearly put a lot of work into the way the game looks and sounds, Enclave's gameplay just doesn't measure up to its presentation.
-
66Unfortunately, without even multiplayer to redeem it, Enclave ends up as just another mediocre disappointment.
-
60PC gamers will feel like this is the kind of game they were playing five years ago. The small improvements from the Xbox version are cancelled out by the interface quirks introduced.
-
My problem with Enclave is, if nothing else, the repetition of the gameplay. I don't like my games to be overly complicated but some more control would have been a most welcome addition.
-
Twenty to 30 hours of gameplay, and not a single one of them worth a damn. [July 2003, p.84]

SilentScope8Good old fashioned mindless hack/slash/magic fare, with nice graphics and great sound. Nice change from all the serious pc games out there.
