  1. I can forgive the horrible controls because so much attention was given to the story, the graphics and even the gaming experience.
  2. The usual amateurish nonsense. [May 2006, p.90]
  3. It's still ploddingly adequate in an unsurprising way, but the faults are just too many. [Sept 2006, p.72]
  4. I was exceptionally disappointed in Etrom. I wanted so desperately to love this game, as it seemed to have all the makings of a rich, rewarding play experience. (Post-apocalyptic dystopian future?? Sign me up!!) However, the ocean of poor design ideas slays all of the potential before it can even begin.
  5. Woefully dated and underwritten sub-"Diablo" hack-slashery. [June 2006, p.81]

I was actually really looking forward to playing this game because it has a really interesting setting. BUT, the oddly told narrative, the constantly looping, uncreative music, and the repetitive, boring combat forced me to abandon this game. I really wanted to continue on to find out more about the setting and the story, but it was just all to much for me to bear. Full Review »
