The newest expansion Rubicon provides power to individual players and smaller corporations. The new deployables are a welcome addition, as well as the beautiful new ships. With that, it disrupts the balance of this stone cold PVP-world, which is a great thing in EVE's case. Rubicon is proof that CCP is going in the right direction.

CCP never fails to deliver. You either love them or hate them, and that's reflected by the user ratings so far. Brilliant integration of newCCP never fails to deliver. You either love them or hate them, and that's reflected by the user ratings so far. Brilliant integration of new features, new ways for players to produce content and, more importantly, more player control of the metagame. Like any other MMO patch, you're gonna need a stable internet connection to get the whole thing in one go, so if you're having problems, that would be why.

This is a game that is constantly in development and constantly improving, although since Incarna, they've been taking greater care to produce content of quality rather than quantity. The problem with gamers today is they want too much too fast, which is why so many games are rushed out with so many issues. The few bugs that EVE patches come with are well within the bounds of what could be expected from any game that has been carefully playtested things that only show up under very unique circumstances that are difficult if not impossible to predict.

    - I've got a 2011 laptop (!) and EVE works perfectly on "high" graphics settings with 100+ ships in the grid.

Yes there are issues a few times a year that the game is glitched and won't launch. But these gets fixed FAST. Within hours. And that's 1 or 2 days a year. Otherwise the server is running 23.75 hours a day 7 days a week.

CCP are doing a good job of maintaining a very unique game, that stays on the bleeding edge of MMOs for over 11 years now. The also employ the best payment model I've seen so far (p2p OR buy PLEX with ingame money - you choose). I'd give them a 10 but it's a 9 'cause I must admit that they do make bugs of both the "this doesn't work" or "omg this is just dumb!" kind occasionally.

Awful CCP as usual. Looks like half the players couldn't even get the patch/update/whatever to load or work properly through their redundantAwful CCP as usual. Looks like half the players couldn't even get the patch/update/whatever to load or work properly through their redundant new(ish) launcher, which not one player has ever come out as liking but plenty have come out as hating.
Obviously, typical CCP, they only tested Rubicon on the highest spec machines leaving, again, a huge percentage of their players left with glitches, blacked out screens, blacked out items, blacked out targets and basically unable to play in any way shape or form.
Nearly all (Over 80%!!) of the "New" additions didn't work. So, CCP being CCP they ignore the fact that thousands of players can't even play the game and instead concentrate on the much-hyped new items.
Incarna all over again! If you are a 6 year vet like me be mad. If you are thinking of becoming a paying customer to EvE Online though, go give your donations to Elite: Frontier.
I'll be cancelling as soon as Elite comes out and will not look back (Let's face it EvE Online was always based on and around Elite anyway.

Not surprisingly this has been exactly what CCP has been doing for years. No doubt they will promise iteration and such but then forget all about it as they then rush off to hype the next latest bling expansion, just like they have done all these years. Expand
