If you love James Bond movies, or Austin Powers, or any of those great gadgets-girls-and-guns flicks, this game will put you right there in the mix. If you like games that have intellect rooming side-by-side with action, you’ll think your fingers off here...This game could be described as "crack on a CD!"
Seems to have been designed itself by an evil genius. A person with above average abilities in the graphics department but a sadistic, or evil, urge to make gameplay very irritating and proceed at a snail‘s pace.

_как и спортивные игры, жанр стратегий должен быть у каждого уважающего себя игрока, помимо всех других известных наименований. Мой Evil Genius, начинается с боли - повторения, понимаю, с каждым проигрышем твой навык увеличивается и становится легче, но так ли это полезно, тем более когда речь идёт о строительстве, экономики и количеству юнитов на одной карте

_разбирая всю представленную сюжетную линию, от самого начала до его конца мы что и делаем - копим, тратим, похищаем и строим, отбиваемся от шпионов. Такую рутину, как я считаю, разбавляет стилистика - вся игра отдаёт всеми возможными отсылками к старым фильмам с Агентом 007 и тому подобных, в том же духе присутствует музыка и конечно выбранный стиль персонажей, времени и всего окружения - ретро футуризм 60-70ых годов
_преодолеть хотя бы постараться выдержать половину игры, наблюдая за всеми карикатурными действиями персонажей бегающих туда сюда как муравьи, исполняющие все прихоти Главного Злодея, после уже на повторы постоянных действий не обращаешь внимания, получаешь удовольствие от глобального захвата нашего мира.

_by analyzing the entire storyline presented, from the very beginning to its end, we do what we do - we save, spend, steal and build, fight off spies. Such a routine, in my opinion, is diluted by the style - the whole game gives off all possible references to old films with Agent 007 and the like, in the same spirit there is music and of course the chosen style of characters, time and the whole environment - retro futurism of the 60-70s
_to overcome at least try to endure half of the game, watching all the caricature actions of the characters running back and forth like ants, fulfilling all the whims of the Main Villain, after that you don’t pay attention to the repetitions of constant actions, you enjoy the global capture of our world.

The lack of tangible information is probably what hurts Evil Genius the most -- alarm systems register for both tourists and spies, minions die without warning, traps are on fire and you often get only one real warning -- generally, it feels like you just don't have anywhere near as much data coming in as you should.
Breaks new ground with its style and premise, but the delivery comes off a bit stale, and there’s no reason to pick this game back up after the first play-through.
If you’re a keen gamer and not a big fan of the strategy simulation games, stay clear of Evil Genius as it won’t bring you any satisfaction as opposed to a leading FPS game out on PC these days.
But where "Dungeon Keeper 2" was graceful, elegant, superbly tuned - possibly the perfect RTS - Evil Genius is clumsy, boorish, frustrating, and frankly not worth the price of admission.
Could have been great. Instead, it's a near miss - a great idea poorly presented and inadequately explained. And that ain't my bag, baby. [Dec 2004, p.94]
A very fun game. think Dungeon Keeper, but where you play a james bond'esque villain where you try to take over the world. You get henchmen to buld your base, guard it and even fool turists to try and keep your activities unknown.
Sadly there are only 2 levels, but with all the reasearch and the length of time missions can take this is a game you can play for hours on end with the many different traps and science devices you can strap agents too, uncluding a laser like the classic bond film, Gold Finger. One hell of a buy if you ask me :)
I highly recommend altering the gaming code for more minions as 100 is very small when you start getting secret agents coming on your island and massacreing everyone.

Une espèce de jeu de stratégie très inspiré d’un Dungeon Keeper mais à l’ambiance volontiers bouffonne : le vague humour dispensé ici est très bête et porte vite sur les nerfs, de même que l’interface très mal faite et ceci touche d’ailleurs tous les compartiments de la présentation et de l’injouabilité très générale.
Les graphismes sont évidemment à l’avenant et dignes d’un dessin animé à nette tendance triso-mongolienne, augmentant ainsi la bouffonnerie de l’ensemble. Il faut également mentionner la lenteur omniprésente de la moindre des actions effectuées ou ordres donnés. Il n’y a pas 36 façons de tenter de jouer à ce truc, sinon celle prévue par quelques développeurs incapables…
Ce qui conduit trop souvent à l’échec des missions alors que l’on se débat avec l’inetrface déficiente, la lenteur générale et l’ennui de plus en plus envahissant : un jeu de merde à la fois soporifique, très con et particulièrement énervant. Un génie de la daube, assurément !
