  1. You can tell the amount of love poured into this game, it really shows. An excellent title for anyone who enjoys adventure games, especially those who like the less linear feel that Fable has to offer.
  2. The production values are perfectly tuned to the game's style as the graphics and audio are beautifully implemented. Quite simply, I loved the game.
  3. Fable was, and still is, a cracking and practically beard-free role-player. Maybe in five years from now, we’ll see a sequel that actually resembles what we were initially promised.
  4. A polished and entertaining ride, jam packed with people to see and things to do. The graphics are nice, the voice acting is superb, and the combat is a lot of fun.
  5. Frustration was heightened by incorporating diverse elements that did not mesh in a smooth manner.
  6. For all its beauty, the areas you explore do seem rather small and hemmed in - especially when we're so used to expansive, open-ended RPG worlds.
  7. The sound of a leather boot impacting a chicken, and the resulting squawks and flapping that result, must be heard first hand to be truly appreciated.

An amazing rpg experience great for old and new gamers to the rpg genre. Fable mixes legends of lore with hilarious twists and crude humorAn amazing rpg experience great for old and new gamers to the rpg genre. Fable mixes legends of lore with hilarious twists and crude humor along the way. The game has one of the highest replay values of any game I've played as I've come back to beat it nearly every year since its release. The lost chapters adds additional content to extend the story of the hero and adds a small area to the game known as "The Northern Wastes" and adds several additional quests throughout albion as well. The overall story of Fable can be beaten within a day or two for a serious gamer but still offers an experience no RPG series or other Fable game has really captured to date. Expand

Go Lionhead Studios. Even if this game is rather short - but it's so damn fun you'll want to replay it a good number of times to Go Lionhead Studios. Even if this game is rather short - but it's so damn fun you'll want to replay it a good number of times to get the full experience. Fun, that's not a word you hear a lot anymore in video-game-land. Everything has to be an immense challenge, graphically stunning, and introduce groundbreaking gameplay. Fable really has none of that, but it's a great time. You'll spend more time playing this game than any other game you've bought this year. Not out of an obligation to get your 50 bucks worth, but because you're having too much fun. Expand

Having AI that would respond to your decisions and being able to do whatever you wanted, hell, being able to STEAL from shops was revolutionary in itself. Now though, the gameplay has become somewhat of a staple of any action/RPG, and the animations for mouth movement are...dated to say the least.

Overall, if you are REALLY into action/RPG's, get this. Gameplay is very solid and feels very good, RPG elements are very balanced with the gameplay; you could beat the whole game without ever leveling up your skills if you really chose to do so, though it would be extremely hard, but if you are picking this up for anything but the gameplay, there are better examples of aciton/RPG's out there nowadays.

A good Action-RPG with great graphics, sounds and voice acting. This game is probably not for pure RPG enthusiasts, however, as it only A good Action-RPG with great graphics, sounds and voice acting. This game is probably not for pure RPG enthusiasts, however, as it only allows you to control one character in a very Legend of Zelda manner. The plot seems facile at first but becomes rather horrifying later on, giving one the sense of playing through a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. Jack of Blades is perhaps one of the most memorable villains in computer villain history. This is one case, however, where the expanded content is less impressive than the original game, almost making you wish that the lost chapters had stayed lost allowing you to finish with an otherwise tight story. I was so excited to be playing a RPGI followed Fable from the time Peter Molyneux began over-hyping it years before it was ever released. I was so excited to be playing a RPG that developed and grew. Where decisions were difficult and must be lived with for the rest of your life. All those things were a bunch of lies. This game is horrendous. You live a whole life in under a day of game time. You can beat this game in 8 hours, 8 hours! A RPG that took 4 years to make and none of the promised content present. Please never purchase a Peter Molyneux game. After all the lies gamers suffered from Black and White, Fable was the final straw for me. Expand
