Short and simple and repetitive, and it has really awful graphics, but for some reason I sort of liked it anyway, maybe because I also liked the television series its based on the one season I watched it.
-
63A must-have for hardcore fans of the show (both of them). But for anyone else, it'll just be a very boring extra-long episode. [Nov 2002, p.122]
-
Not quite the challenge hardcore gamers or fans of the show are looking for. [20 Sept 2002, p.159)
-
51A mediocre game. It's certainly not the worst I've played, but neither does it have the spark that draws gamers in.
-
Despite all the glitz and glamour, the game feels hollow and void of substance.
-
45A third person 3D adventure game that is mostly devoid of fun.
-
Misfires on pretty much all cylinders.
-
Farscape the series has been cancelled. The game was not. Nobody wins. [Jan 2003, p.75]
-
40The control is passable, following a Diablo-esque "click-move-click again-move" schema. Boring, but sufficient.
-
35Instead of drawing from the rich source material of the TV show, Farscape is a conventional action game with a clunky interface and a dated engine.
-
This game is so annoying and poorly designed that it left me vindictively cheering the show's demise. [Dec 2002, p.136]
-
20It's almost as if they settled on the simplest, most derivative game design possible instead of trying to do the show some justice.
-
20Even if you can look past the uninspired visual presentation, Farscape is a somewhat tedious and boring affair that is likely to compel only die-hard fans of the show to play it to the very end.
