The game is good graphically but can become a little dull if your don’t send out regular attacks on your opponents.
Combines a top-notch economic/civic model, attractive graphics, and solid real-time combat to give gamers a slice of Chinese history. And that, like all things Asian, is tres cool.
Where Fate of the Dragons distinguishes itself is in the undercurrent of town management. This program is much more user friendly, less a micromanager style of play, and quite enjoyable.
Ultimately, unless the historical Chinese context interests you, you'll find that Fate of the Dragon is just another real-time strategy game with a few original features, but with nothing really outstanding to recommend it.
An altogether playable, yet mediocre and average game in any sense.
There is a significant difference between the two games—"Age of Empires" is a lot of fun. "Fate of the Dragon" is not.

Summary Reminiscent of "Age of Empires II", this historical real-time strategy is based on the Three Kingdoms period of 2nd century China, just after the Han Dynasty fell into ruin, a turbulent time during which dozens of warlords sought the throne and eventually settled into three conflicting kingdoms.
