Perseus Mandate offers undeniable value for money. If you love first person shooters, you should really check it out.
Perseus Mandate will probably feel pretty familiar to anyone that has played previous iterations in the series, but is a worthy title for someone new to the scene.

Despite the lackluster narrative and dated graphics, Perseus Mandate still delivers a lot of the fun of the previous games. It isn’t perfect, but it still manages to be a worthy addition to the F.E.A.R. franchise despite the story.
It brings nothing new and seems like an after thought to cash in on the F.E.A.R. name before Project Origin.
The final part of the game, which I won’t give away here, should have been FULL of terrifying stuff hitting fans of every size and speed imaginable, and yet… nothing. More non-paranormal enemies. It is, quite simply, the most colossal anti-climax since Halo 2.
This game is badly made and overwhelmingly bleak, and while the original F.E.A.R. still exists, there's absolutely no way I could ever recommend anybody buy this, even if you're on fire and this game is a bucket of water. [Jan 2008, p.80]
It's a gme for people, who really likes original shooter gameplay of F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate is really great DLC of brilliant first person shooter!

К сожалению, во втором длс разработчики посчитали что возврат к унылейшим офисным и индустриальным локациям это круто. Пропали открытые арены, как и противники-роботы. Скримеры вообще не пугают, только навевают тоску своей вторичностью и дешевостью. Постановка осталась на уровне первого длс, т.е., слабенькая, над анимациями почти не старались. Сюжет не очень увлекает, гг новый и почему-то ловит глюки, что нелогично. Боевка все также зрелищная и увлекательная, хотя это скорее заслуга оригинальной игры. Разработчики привнесли из нового лишь пару стволов, да нового противника, который очень ловок, жирноват по хп и может юзать различные гаджеты, схватки с ним самые интересные. В остальном изменений нет, длительность игры, на мой взгляд, затянута . Поиграть можно, но первый длс понравился больше.

С "Проектом Персей" меня связывает та же история, что и с дополнением предшественником. Тоже получил бурю впечатлений в детстве, так же перепрошел после, но в отличии от Extraction Point я не получил той горькой нотки разочарования, а наоборот, остался более чем... удовлетворен. Здесь действительно бодрые бои с новыми крутыми пушками, а некоторые игровые ситуации крепко удерживаются в памяти до сих пор (десантирование на парашутах (с последующей настройкой управления конечно же); побег и уничтожение огромного робота в рушащемся на ходу здании; момент, когда произошел финал оригинальной игры и вы ищете укрытия в старом метро...). Тут TimeGate Studios поработала на ошибками и выдала годный проект заслуживающий упоминания. Кстати говоря, Perseus Mandate- это тот случай, когда скорее жалеешь что он не входит в официальный канон, не в пример предыдущему DLC. Оценка: 7.

"Been there, done that" is what I was constantly thinking to myself as I played through this expansion. Released 2 years after the original FEAR, Perseus Mandate shows now effort to introduce anything new to the series. You get 3 or 4 new weapons and a couple new enemy types but everything else is the same. The levels are repetitive and there is still grey everywhere. The story still makes no sense and, just like it was in Extraction Point, is considered to not be canon by the franchise. It's not scary, not interesting, and not fun. Only those who still desire more of the original game should try this disappointing expansion.
