With plans to make the title affordable enough for every gamer to own, Ford Street Racing is still pushing boundaries by delivering unique features such as the trademarked Maximum Team Control that allows players to switch on-the-fly between a team of three vehicles to dominate a race. A progressive damage system also adds a new element of realism to the game, allowing every hit your vehicle takes to affect the appearance, performance and drivability of the vehicle. Thankfully, the designers chose to drive down a more unusual route. For the price of the ride, especially, it's worth a spin... Team-based racing with a difference. [Apr 2006, p.92]
  2. Ford Bold Moves Street Racing, in spite of its faults, will offer some good hours of racing fun.

Interesting ideas, but far too shallow. [Apr 2006, p.91]

If 20 bucks is burning a hole in your pocket, spend it on "Need For Speed: Most Wanted" instead. You'll thank me later. [Dec. 2006, p.122]
  5. Don’t bother with this title unless you love the idea of playing an interactive commercial for Ford Motors.
  6. Fan boys will get they’re fix, and that’s about the extent of FBM’s scope, providing little to none entertainment value past the first 30 minutes.
  7. Ford Street Racing looks like a AAA game, has the features of a AAA game, but plays like a budget title that doesn't know its audience. With a little more time put into AI and physics, Ford Street Racing could easily be a game worth $30-$40.

Awful, boring, simple. The only new thing this game adds, team play where you can switch between your cars, makes the game even less Awful, boring, simple.
