  1. From creating title and menu screens, scripted even zones, Overall, FPS Creator is a fantastic must-have purchase for anyone who's interested in what goes into making a game.
  2. Casual fans of the genre may want to think twice about the work that will be needed to create a game.
  3. Don't get me wrong though, even though the end product is useless, creating your own game is fantastic fun - just don't expect to become the next Carmack. If you want to do that, start learning binary now. [PC Zone]
  4. Good lord! This game wasn't created, it was excreted... Basically, you'd have more fun putting starved ferrets in a feedbag and strapping it to your crotch. [Jan 2006, p.46]

FPS creator, for being a click and build engine, was quite flexible, easy to use, and most of all, fun. I read a lot of pessimism, but with a mod to the engine, nome nice looking, high quality models, and some scripting talent, an experienced user can truly make something of current bargain bin commercial quality, or better. FPSC comes with a good bit of stock media, and while the quality of these aren't disgusting, they aren't of a quality level for a commercial game. Full Review »
