Gomo isn't a great example of the genre by any means, but it's nice to look at and a fun little diversion. I found it rather endearing.
  2. Dec 30, 2013
At its core, Gomo is best suited for young adventurers who lack the experience to take on badder aliens and higher ransoms.
  3. Dec 20, 2013
While presenting several interesting ideas in terms of style, Gomo is not convincing because of an evanescent gameplay and definitely not brilliant selection of puzzles.
  4. Dec 18, 2013
Overall the challenge level is geared towards younger gamers; if you rush through the game you can complete Gomo in maybe just over an hour. The story is simple and the characters you meet have a simple charm to them and the pace of the game means you'll be able to whiz through it to see the next kooky scene.
  5. Dec 9, 2013
It’s short and easy without much variation, but there’s just enough charm and humour in Gomo to make it a worthwhile experience for fans of Machinarium clones.
  6. Feb 25, 2014
A point and click game with a quiet and a fun atmosphere, that lacks in depth of gameplay and puzzles. The game's longevity is way too short, offering less than 90 minutes of gameplay.
  7. Dec 12, 2013
Gomo is so easy and short that doesn't allow you to enjoy the adventure. Puzzle's design is simple and the storyline superficial. It's an adventure game that could have been better.

If you get two hours of spare time, you can either spend it by playing Gomo from start to finish or go get your root canals done. I actually have to ponder which one to choose. Gomo is totally forgettable adventure game. [Feb 2014]

There’s no place on the market for mediocre games that distinguish themselves only with visuals. Gomo will be quickly forgotten, even by indie enthusiasts. [03/2014, p.75]
  10. Jan 23, 2014
Sweet animation and charming character aside, Gomo is a lukewarm experience with an almost nonexistent duration and an irrelevant plot.
  11. Jan 16, 2014
It's a likeable adventure, albeit a very short and easy one that's sparse in animation. Parents might want to try it out with their kid(s), but then again, there's so many more involving, clever and not least prettier games like this, Machinarium for example.
  12. Dec 24, 2013
Gomo does have some real charm in its simple yet appealing visuals and its strange sense of humour, but it is seriously lacking in the gameplay department.
  13. Dec 12, 2013
Gomo is a short, stylistic adventure that has some interesting features, but ultimately its brevity and lack of challenge keep its charms from being lasting ones.
  14. Dec 11, 2013
Most of its pieces fit tight together, but lasting just one hour and being quite easy, it's not the best option for graphic adventures fans.
  15. Dec 9, 2013
Gomo can be a nice adventure game for kids, as it is really short and easy, but also quite funny.

“Slovakian Machinarium” is an exemplary case of what makes the authors of Machinarium great – their creative flair and their subtle humor – and what Gomo lacks. [Issue#238]
  17. Dec 27, 2013
Gomo didn't turn out to be a very great game. It's really short, the puzzles are very easy, and the controls are a pain in the ass. It's definitely not the best option If you were looking for a point-and-click adventure.
  18. Dec 18, 2013
It’s cute, but it’s useless. Let’s just call it what it is.
  19. Dec 11, 2013
If given the choice between Gomo and another adventure game, choose the other one.

It's definitely not a good game. I don't understand, why some indie developers are always making some games, like that. If you buy that game,It's definitely not a good game. I don't understand, why some indie developers are always making some games, like that. If you buy that game, you will face to another copy-past from Samorost series and some stylistics from Machinarium. This game is well drawn, really nice work by the game artists, but totally lack of any creative ideas, how to transform their skills into the nice gameplay. No story, just a Samorost cliche. No good puzzles, 80% of them are for 5 years old children, and it's supposed to be a good buy for that audience, but remaining 20% are completely illogical (like colored bricks quest) and unfriendly (like gem puzzle), anyway all this stuff I've seen a thousand times in any casual quests. The game is very very short you may finish it in 2 hours, if you will have any troubles with obvious quests, and that's very dissapointing. There is no interactive environment and the "humour" is totally sucks and unfunny! Music is not irritating, but not a great either.
In general I can recommend this game only for children, and unfortunately it's another game, where you may be impressed by the ambiance or characters, but after some minutes you will be in frustration, because the game has no advantages and just a wasting of time.
